 Oh by the way i haven't shown you the outdoor pictures. Yet so, let's go outside and take a look at how it performs in the in the darkness of the night: [ Music ], all right there, you have it the acebeam tk18.  Eco mode is what is already pre-programmed on here and to change it to the power mode is a little bit. It'S kind of it's kind of strange you have to you, have to go into lockout mode and then change it from there. So i would suggest, if you want to read about that check out my written review at lightsandgear.com, where i demonstrate how you change it from eco mode to power mode, and unfortunately you will want to do that if you want to get the 3000 lumens out of It otherwise you'll get about half that on eco mode, that'll save you on a bit of battery, but it's just not obviously it's not as bright and not giving you the output that the light is intended to do

 Alright, I got it set up ready to go here and we're looking at it on fair at night I went up to the end. The whole flashlight you're on in 260 degrees mark we're gon na click that on turbo I'm also gon na use my Fleur, I will do a thermal on it - will see all that. Does I'm gon na shut the camera off. You know we're gon na see if this uh output changes here

 Quick all em off pretty awesome light. I like how small it is, let's get set up for that heat test. Alright, I got it set up ready to go here and we're looking at it on fair at night I went up to the end.  You got ta ace beams typical warranty. I do believe it's five years, every place, any lights, defective lights within 15 days and we offer free repair within 60 months of purchase if problems develop with normal use great as far as specs on this thing, we're gon na look at being, as this is the Lh 35 emitter, if you're running a high drain, which I am they have your Eco mode in your power mode and anything under, I think it's 10 under 10 amps of current it'll drop today eco-mode, but we'll be running a power mod three lumens Firefly twelve days 22 hours at 80, lumens, 200 lumens, seven hours, hi a thousand moments for two hours, an hour and 30 minutes for 3000 moments, and the problem that I have with this. It'S showing 156 meters of throw now when we get these diffused lights like this, my lux meter doesn't seem to do quite well and it didn't it doesn't do it here either it only got to like a hundred nine watch. I'Ll show you maybe it's a little more, but if you're looking for thrall - and I think I'm gon na end up - probably purchasing one - it's the osram that thing's punching out to 286 meters of throw with them emitters in it

 Here'S my backyard - and I got this a spin line. I do believe low is right there and you can see how wide this swath is and it's hard to turn it up a little bit medium. Then high Tyto, awesome I'll get said the beam. The beam spread is just unreal and then turbo it just lights

I have a couple hundred bucks burning a hole in my pocket from Christmas, and I need help choosing a new light. Here’s what I’m looking for:

First and foremost, it needs to be pocketable and pretty. What I mean by that: I want something slim-ish enough that it’s comfortable in a jeans pocket. 20-25mm tube OD, and if the head is larger, no more that 30mm. Think Convoy M21B as the absolute maximum. 

Pretty: I want something impressive looking. Nice/interesting machining, higher end materials like titanium, copper, brass, Damascus, etc. I also like/prefer a mix of materials, like Ti/Cu or Ti/brass. 

It needs to be bright, but it doesn’t have to be stupid. I want a good, usable everyday beam profile. Not too tight a hotspot, but not so floody that there isn’t one at all. I’m torn on single emitters vs multiple emitters. High CRI would be nice, like 3 Nichia 219’s, but as long as I can get something bright that’s not 6500K, I’ll probably be happy. I want the temp to be between 4500K-5700K. I had a XHP50.2 in 4000K, and didn’t care for how yellow it was. I know low temp lights seem to be all the rage, but they’re not my thing. No LEPs. 

Power: should use an 18650 or 21700. If 18650, the option for an 18350 tube would be nice, but not necessary. 

Budget: I have about $200, but if I am find what I want cheaper, that would be preferable. 

Whatever choices you suggest, please also suggest which emitters you like based on my above preferences. The only ones I would consider going at or above 5700K to get would be the SBT90.2 or SFT40, but I also know they’re more for throwers, so they probably wouldn’t work well for this application. Please school me if I’m wrong. 

Here are a few I’m considering, to give you an idea:

-Acebeam E70 Ti or Cu
-Lumintop LM10 either Ti or Cu
-Noctigon KR1 in Cu (does it come in other colors?) Is this too much of a dedicated thrower?
-Noctigon KR4 Ti/Cu (one of my top choices)
-Emissar D4V2 Ti/Cu (not sold on design or side switch)

 Beautiful solid copper, awesome performance, and great customer service follow up care. Couldn’t be more pleased. Well maybe if I had two :) Actually thinking of getting another for the copper cabinet collection so I can use this one with total abandon!

 Okay, so here's the night core tup on the highest output, a thousand lumens. I really like the beam pattern of this particular light, but the output is just not as high as I would want it to be. However, this light is so small that you really couldn't go much higher anyways without causing some thermal issues. There is the night cord tup and there's a car over there creeping around here

 So this thing is really a good thrower for as small as it is so we're going to start off on the highest output, actually we'll go ahead and start off on the high, not turbo, so this is not turbo mode. This is the high mode, and this light gets hot, extremely fast, so I'll go I'll, basically go ahead and double-click it now and now we're on the highest output mode. It'S amazing this little ace beam can do this. That is impressive, absolutely impressive! We can just see the intensity on this light is just amazing, I'll, go and shut it off now, and the head is already really hot

 Now, like I said these lights, don't really compare in beam pattern but kind of good size. I guess I don't really have any other lights that compare to this thing.
