Every other IPS display I have used has had a fantastic, bright, even picture from one corner of the screen to the other. However, the viewing angles on this Acer are about as bad as an old TN screen. It could be the fact that the monitor is an ultrawide that is not curved, but I'm still surprised. I would not recommend this display for graphic design or any use where color is vital

Decently Priced But You Get What You Pay For

 I was thinking the 34 inch model "smiiphzx" that I ordered instead would be similar but with less frills. Instead what I got was something that had the Acer logo on it but was a significantly lower build quality than any of my other monitors and much lighter than my similarly sized Acer 34" curved monitor.  Also the monitor was damaged on arrival, which can happen to the best of them, but honestly my first impression when opening the box was hoping that it wasn't broken because of how light it was. I didn't cable manage or anything, just plugged it in

" This monitor (smiiphzx) does not have DP 1.4, and I don't even think it's 75Hz. And if it is, it's noticeably different from my other 75Hz monitor. I can just make out the refresh rate of a 59 or 60 Hz monitor so I go to 75 to avoid headaches, but I could see this one refreshing

I was looking for a new (big) monitor as I started a job working from home and didn’t want to have a MacBook open next to a smaller monitor. This seemed to fit the bill and the price was right. However, there were a few issues and I ended up replacing it with a curved LG 34” instead.  There is definitely some backlight bleed, most noticeable at the bottom, and overall it isn’t very bright

 No support from Acer to address it.  When I received the LG (I selected the 34WK95C) I immediacy noticed a night and day difference between the two, with the LG being brighter, more crisp, curved, nicer aesthetically, and with a USB-C port that works to charge my 15” MBP and deliver video over one cable. Yes, it is more expensive - but no hub or dongle is needed so there is much less cable clutter, and it is so much easier on my eyes. That is well worth it

Terrible backlight bleed

 Have to manually enable hdr through the motions OSD. HDR is very washed out, one of the worst I have seen. Very poor viewing angles unless 4+ ft away, standard desk is 2-3ft deep. Would work as a office monitor but nothing else
