 First perspective: I Think the XF 2 4 th is a nicely designed monitor with a combination of dark grey and red. The latter is present only at the footing of the mount. While the rest of the product is noticeably gray or black. It would not look totally out of place in a more serious business environment, but then again, it looks totally in place in a gaming setup

Gaming Monitor Purchase Help

Too much work & tinkering out of the box

Everything was selling like crazy and stock was ever-changing, and I just wanted something 1080p. I managed to snag an Acer XFA240 (24" 1080p 144hz 1ms) for $170 on Amazon, but it's now $350+. Idk if you'll get anything in your price range reliably. You just gotta get lucky constantly looking right now

In the process of trying to build my first pc and I’m trying to decide on a Monitor. Preferably I would like a 1080p 144 monitor (heaven forbid it also be able to tilt) but I’m also on a budget. I thought I had one picked out through amazon and it was ~$150 (AOC C24G1 24" ) until a few days ago when I was alerted that the seller (AOC) no longer is offering the  monitor. Any recommendations for monitors that are similar and cost around $150 (or less)?

Picking out a monitor?

you can have all the refresh you want, but if you can't see in the shadows and/or sun what's the point? The colors are trash (very washed out/inaccurate). Gamma is crap too. Viewing angles are poor, I know, I know it's a TN panel.

I'm going to try swapping the DP cable, currently using the one that came w/it.  UPDATE: better cable did not work. Found out the picture issues are related to the refresh rate. I understand this is common in low end monitors If you tune the refresh rate back to 60hz the colors/gamma/contrast improve
