 In some cases this causes Windows to switch to other playback devices. This issue is consistent and repeatable, and has been mentioned in several other reviews. This wouldn't be an issue if another digital input such as optical was available, but the only alternative is to use analog input which is not optimal due to noise. I really love the sound and simplicity of this device - but the constant digital input source drops are a big problem

Great sound but has USB digital input issues

Six months into the rabbit hole, experimenting while WFH. My work/desk setup. Progression: Figo K3 DAC &gt; iFi Zen DAC + CAN &gt; Hifiman Sundara &gt; Topping E30 &gt; Schiit Valhalla 2 &gt; Audio Technica R70X &gt; Xduoo MT602 + GE JAN 5654 tubes &gt; Denafrips Ares 2 &gt; Topping A90 &gt; Marantz PM6007 plus JBL Stage A130

 Pros: great sound quality, large output power, extremely low noise. Cons: no remote control, problem with USB connection, 2 Bluetooth input design flaws.

 In order to use aptx HD, you need to change the Bluetooth setting for the amplifier in the phone. The setting should be prioritized on audio quality rather than reliability. Prior to that, I already changed the default Bluetooth audio default codec to aptx HD (through developer mode in Android) but it still didn't use aptx HD codec until I changed the Bluetooth priority to audio quality instead of reliability.  Another added note on 9/15/21: I found 2 big design flaws of this amplifier

  Some added comment on 9/10/21: I found actually my LG V35 ThinQ phone has the support of aptx HD. However, the phone chooses another codec which is less Hifi by default. In order to use aptx HD, you need to change the Bluetooth setting for the amplifier in the phone. The setting should be prioritized on audio quality rather than reliability

 This is pretty annoying. Fortunately now I mainly use Bluetooth connection and the aux input. The sound did stop for a few seconds a few times in Bluetooth connection but I am not sure whether it is the problem with Internet, with my cellphone or with A08's Bluetooth receiver because I have similar problems when I connect my cellphone with another Bluetooth speaker.  Summary: great amplifier with great sound, low noise and large output power but a few issues

Great amplifier with 3 issues

Hey folks, my JBL stage a130 bookshelf speakers is being delivered soon. I am currently at looking for amps to drive them and I really think the Aiyima a08 is perfect for my needs. But it doesn't have a sub line out. Can a subwoofer be added to the 2.0 setup?

Also, I am in search of a subwoofer as well. My office room is 13x11x8 (lxwxh). I just want a simple 2.1 (or maybe 2.2 down the line) system for my pc and tv setup. My budget is $700 for a subwoofer.

My pc is the main source that everything will be connected to. Both my gaming monitor and lg oled tv. I will be using the speakers and sub for 70% music and video games, 30% movies. I listen to hip hop, r&amp;b/soul, roots reggae and some alt and classic rock. Im in the states btw.

Aiyima a07/08 desktop Amps w/subwoofer (and suggestions).

  For the positives, the sound seems to be good to me at least for my first passive set up. The amp seems to be powerful enough to drive my JBL 530s to the point of discomfort without any noticeable distortion. As mentioned earlier the price is good too with the A08 being cheaper than many amps with similar features.  If Aiyima could fix the mentioned issues and say throw in a subwoofer out on their next iteration of the amp, they would have a perfect device

 That seems like a little bit of an oversight.  Additionally the control knob is a little stiff.  For the positives, the sound seems to be good to me at least for my first passive set up. * I would like something I can upgrade later
* The setup can be as complicated as necessary. I'm fine with speakers+integrated amp or speakers+amp+dac+preamp, whatever needs happen
* A Sub Out would be nice. I'm going to steal my husband's sub that he keeps turned off
* I would like to at some point get a turntable
* For now though this philistine would like something where I can Bluetooth, Wifi, or USB input. A phone is going to be the primary input device. **If this makes it not even worthwhile to upgrade please tell me.**
* A lot of the music I listen to is cluttered? Like Animal Collective. But I also like the album "Deloused in the Comatorium", the band "The Oh Hellos", prog rock, math rock, and a lot of indie music. Not sure what kind of sound I like but **I hate the Klipsch Promedia 2.1**. They sound incredibly unbearably flat while simultaneously not full to me. I also can't stand the kick drum on most lo-fi music, but that may just be because I normally hear them from the Klipsch.

* Dark brown wood is a preference. I do put stock into how things look.

Assistance - Guidance on First System

  One consideration is how you intend to use the A08 because its inputs are limited to RCA (analog), USB (digital), and Bluetooth. If you wish to change between RCA and USB, a small switch on the back needs to be toggled. There's no coaxial or optical input for digital. I use this mounted beneath a workbench in my workshop

Great Sound From A Focused Device

Hey everyone. 

Im looking to replace the old receiver ive been using forever. It's crackley and just has some nit picks that im done dealing with(no memory for previous input used, LOUD static whoosh sound when booting up, noisy volume wheel, random crackling from R channel when no music is playing, the list goes on) Im using it for my bookshelf speakers on my desk, so i dont need anything that high powered. 

The conundrum:

\- this needs to fit on the corner of my desk, so modern full size receivers are way too big. Do they even make things this small anymore?

\- it needs to have at a minimum two input audio channels, as I use it with multiple computers.

\- bonus points for being big enough to use as a monitor stand, but not too big to where it will take up half my desk. See picture for example! 

My Options:

\- find something similar in a small form factor, but i've been having trouble finding anything that fits my needs online, so maybe someone out there has used something similar to solve the same issue? 

\- start over new, buy a cheap tiny stereo amp with one input, and then buy a small mixer that i can route both my computers into and use that to switch audio channels. I like this idea less since another piece of hardware means more clutter on my desk. Small form factor stereo amp for bookshelf speakers - needs multiple inputs!

I have been using SMSL AD18 for two and half years driving SONY SSCS5 speakers on my desk via the USB port from Windows 10/Spotify. I wanted to see whether a higher powered desktop amp will make it better, this certainly does! I based my purchase of the Aiyima on limited reviews on this unit, a lot of reviews on Aiyima A07, which uses the same amp chip. With this amp, the music is more airy, open and better base. Size and weight, this is about 3 times the SMSL
