Suface is soft, but then All Clad did warn to be careful, just beware. The temptation to stir or flip with what is close at hand may have ramifications you will regret

All Clad Essentials Non Stick

 However the handles are kind of cheap feeling, they’re hollow metal. My old non stick all class had  much more substantial heavy handles like my copper core pieces do.

Good pans, bad handles

I bought a single one of these pans several months ago and we really liked it so we thought we’d spring for the whole set. It seems nice but several of the pans have damage to the finish and one of the lids is dented. See photos.

When making rice in these pots the lids don’t seal so moisture seeps out the sides, down the pan. Makes the rice harder to make too because it needs to simmer and keep the moisture in but it lets so much out.

I did the recommended initial seasoning and have so far had no problem with food sticking.  The lids do collect water around the rim after washing. Thought I would have no use for the strainer insert and have used it three times in one week

The set nests nicely, there is a lid for every pot, they are not so heavy I need help to carry a full pot.  This set is replacing a previous set I loved and I kept the smallest saucepan and the grill pan with press from that set since there seemed to be a gap in the assortment of pans I use often. A LOT of Pots and Pans!

  We have been using wooden or silicon spoons and use cardboard in between skillets to store.  For the price paid, I am not pleased with the the marks only a few weeks in.  If the skillets don't hold up, I'll just go back to my other cheaper nonstick skillets

 I did not discover my error until after our new induction cooktop was installed. We enjoyed using these high-quality pans on our traditional glass cooktop, but are going to return them to the seller. We have placed an order for a Cuisinart set that should work on our new cooktop.

I would give these pots and pans 5 stars except that they are not suitable for induction cooking. They look very similar to another All-Clad set that is made with steel. I'm happy with set. Stack beautifully, clean easily, well designed. Unlike some who are pleased these are lighter, I found my older (more expensive) All Clad pots were considerably heavier and didn't move around on burner and perhaps cooked more evenly as a result. But for the price, and realizing non-stick doesn't last more than 5yrs no matter the price, these are great value

Great set

 It takes forever to cook anything or boil water. Sadly Iam returning. So disappointed. Non stick works great and they clean very easily!
