Best Washing Machines | Is Amana Washer A Good Brand?

 To someone else, that may be a great thing. But not to me. Not only did it waste my laundry detergent, but once I had bleach in it. That worried me because bleach & no water equals ruined clothes

 If I could find another washer with all my qualifications at a price at or under $600 I would buy it instead. But I am not seeing one.

Please Note: I just tried it and Joey Pete is correct.  If you select deep water wash + extra rinse, then it will do a complete fill/full rinse.  It fills very high for the rinse.  I was happily surprised.  The above video only shows a spray rinse.

NTW4516FW Top Load Washer by Amana - YouTube

I bought this about a month ago. I am not impressed with the Auto Sensor. I have noticed some loads could stand a little more water. I would like to be able to adjust the water level without having to use the deep water cycle

 The deep water cycle is too much water on some loads. Maybe Amana could have med water cycle and deep water cycle! That way if more water is needed, you could add some more water. Other than that, It is a nice washer. It is energy efficient after all

 Next choose your water temperature. We're using warm and now select your wash cycle. We've chosen normal. Finally, select the start button and then lift the lid

 This just means it will determine the amount of water needed regardless of load size. You can bypass this by using the deep water wash setting. Have we tried that? Yes. Did we like it? I like that

 During the fill cycle you will hear some swishing sounds as the washer determines exactly how much water is needed. This is what the wash cycle sounds like. And now the lid will lock as the washer moves from the wash cycle to the rinse and spin cycles. In the rinse cycle you may hear the water start and stop again

Amana Top-Load Washer NTW4516FW - 2020 Review

The Government mandates have made all new washers almost worthless.

 You have two water level selections over here. You've got auto sensing and you've got deep water wash and we'll talk about the extra rinse stuff here in a minute, but that auto sensing is, that's, that's what makes this high efficiency. So don't let that scare you off, but that's just the way it is. You do have the deep water wash also

 It will not fit a comforter, et cetera, et cetera. Does have a bleach dispenser here, no fabric softener dispenser, no detergent dispenser. So you just have to throw your detergent down in the bottom. Not bad again, but you know, that's old school ways and with these high efficiency machines and low water, that's maybe not the best way to add your detergent to your wash

 It's hard to tell in this video probably, but that is a small tub. That's 3.5 cubic feet. So again, like I said, if you have a big family, this is not going to be the machine for you

 What that means is whatever this machine senses the load size is and would normally put that amount of water in, deep water wash is just going to bump it up one load size. So say you, you have a small load in there, you know, a few towels or a few t-shirts or whatever and it senses it is a small load and puts a small amount of water. If you have deep water wash, it's just going to take it up to a medium load. That's pretty much how that works
