Sometimes, when relaxing, a little movement is helpful. That's where the Amazon Basics Foldable Rocking Chair comes in. The seat and back have a zero-gravity style bungee system, which gives the chair a pleasant amount of give and support. We really liked that the chair rocks and has a nice balance, not tending to tip our testers too far back or forward. The headrest is also a nice touch, and it can be moved to serve as a back support as well.
This chair isn't very portable, as it doesn't pack down all that well. It has one of the longest packed down lengths and is surprisingly heavy at nearly 17 pounds. The rocking feature also is really only nice if you're on flat, stable ground. On sand or lumpy ground, it's a nonstarter for us. Still, for a chair on a lawn, the rocking motion is nice. We'd recommend this for someone who wants a rocking chair that is easier to move around than your typical rocker.

Help!!

 Wnen I turned the chair right side up and sat in it, the latch unlatched. The assembly video on Amazon does not show a latch being closed when the person unfolds the chair and sits in it, so am a bit confused re the latch purpose.The chair seems to work fine without the security latch, and children are not going to be using the chair, so am going to accept it as is for a try out because I do like it. If the latch misfit turns out to be a problem in use, re stability of the chair, will update this review and return try to return it

 A couple of days using the chair loosened whatever was holding the latch end closed, it opened, and now closes neatly over the rod, firming up the chair's structure. The latch will have to be opened up when I want to fold the chair up again. Should be no problem, now that I know how it's supposed to work.

 Then close the "Y". Initially it was stuck together, and couldn't open. A couple of days using the chair loosened whatever was holding the latch end closed, it opened, and now closes neatly over the rod, firming up the chair's structure. The latch will have to be opened up when I want to fold the chair up again
