 And overall, initial impressions from playing around with this for a few hours has been really positive. Everything seems to be running very smoothly. Apps open up nice and quick. And I can really tell the difference between that two gigs and three gigs of RAM

 So initial impressions of the new 2021 Fire HD 10 is really positive. Again, like I said before, there's nothing groundbreakingly new here, but just subtle improvements to the design and to the internals have made this just a little bit more fun to play around with, less laggy, less stuttery and less freezing. It would have been nice to see an updated processor in this, but I think the added gig of RAM helps this operating system a lot. So I'm not too disappointed, but that's just my initial impressions, again, just a couple hours of usage

 But I can tell you when I started this up, it was at 80%. I've been playing around with it for a couple hours now, getting this set up, installing updates, installing apps and that sort of thing. And I'm at 66% a couple hours later. So I think you're still looking at some really great battery life

 Now let's get into some of the differences and upgrades over the previous model. So like I said, you get a slightly trimmed down overall design over the 2019 model and it weighs just a little bit less. This one comes in at 1.03 pounds, whereas the previous model was 1

You start to feel like you're being spammed all the time. The Fire Toolbox would have allowed me to remove that for free, otherwise you have to pay $15 to opt out. As for performance, the screen and speed seem to be decent. I've had some "spotty" issues, but that could be my internet

Overall, my gripe is the lack of customization and Amazon's insistence that you use their apps over anything else

 The first thing I always talk about on a tablet, especially in this price range, is the screen. And if you remember, years ago, the Fire Tab 10s always had 1080p displays, or at least for the past few years, for a few generations, but they've always been on the dim side. Even at max brightness, the color wasn't quite there, they were a little dark. That is one thing that they absolutely cleared up on this generation, the 2021

 I know it's tempting, I know it's tempting. There are so many listings for tablets out there for 100, 120 bucks that boast 1080p displays and Android 11 and great RAM specs and build quality and all the rest of it, but I'm gonna tell you, once we go through the entire list of things, at the end of the day, the Amazon Fire Tablet 10 is the one you're going to want to own if you're looking for a tablet sub $300.  We learned from the phones. Going from two gigs of RAM to three gigs of RAM has allowed this thing to stay smooth, run well, and for me, gotten better over the past year when it comes to updates. So no issue there with performance. It's going to run everything that you're gonna wanna run

They do have a kids section and it's actually pretty good. But it 100%%%% USER FRIENDLY. Most importantly, it's the best quality, in my opinion, that you can get for the money you spend on it.

You are better off purchasing a SAMSUNG!!

 And as for the price, the HD 10 Plus that we took a look at in this video is going for 179, 32GB of internal storage, 4GB of RAM, and wireless charging. You can only get it in a single color, it's kind of a gray on the back, black on the front, or you can opt for the Fire HD 10, this is the non-plus version, 32GB of internal storage, 3GB of RAM, they offer it in 4 different colors, but we have no wireless charging on this. When it comes to performance, mainly the only difference between the plus and this one here is that extra gig of RAM, and if you like to have a lot of apps open in the background then you might want to go with the plus, but if you're good with app management, I would just go with this one here, plus you have the option of 4 different colors. But yeah, if you're looking for a budget Android tablet in the 10 inch range, I could definitely suggest either the Fire HD 10 or the HD 10 Plus

 But there are harder PSP games to run, like Chains of Olympus, and with this one I had to take it down to 1x, and even then we still get some stutters, but it's doing a pretty decent job, it's trying its hardest. And the final thing I wanted to test here was some GameCube emulation using the Dolphin emulator, and I knew we weren't going to get great performance out of this. I tried Vulcan and OpenGL with some hacks on in the background, OpenGL was definitely much better than Vulcan, but we're still not at full speed. So overall the new 2021 Fire HD 10 Plus is a great budget tablet, and yes I do consider this a budget tablet, if you go any lower I mean that's just a low end tablet

 Hey what's going on everybody, it's ETA Prime back here again, today we're gonna be taking a look at the all new 2021 Amazon Fire HD 10 Plus. Now they've released two models, this is the Plus version with 4 gigs of RAM and wireless charging, but they've also released the 2021 Fire HD 10, which doesn't have wireless charging, you can actually get it in a few different colors, and it has 3 gigs of RAM. I also went ahead and picked up the new keyboard case combo that they offer for the new HD 10, but overall I've always been a big fan of these Fire HD tablets, especially the HD 10. Now the last model that they released was actually a great performer, but it was lacking on RAM, it only came with 2 gigs and it did have some pretty big bezels

 You charge the unit up itself over USB Type-C, and you connect it to the tablet using Bluetooth. I gotta say, this is pretty heavy, it's almost the same weight as the tablet itself, but we do have the top that detaches, and this is just gonna clip right onto the back of the Fire HD 10, should go right in here pretty easily, that way we have a little bit of protection and when we have that keyboard closed up, it will protect the screen. But this would be great for a lot of people who do a lot of emailing and document editing from their tablet. So taking a look around the tablet itself, the low end model of the Plus only comes with 32GB of internal storage, but we can add a micro SD card up to 1TB, I've just thrown a 128 in here

The New Budget King! 2021 Fire HD 10 Plus Review

 We found the display was sharp and the colors were impressive. Of course, it can't compare to Apple's Retina or Samsung's OLED displays. But the Fire HD 10 tablet's LCD screen performs well enough that we really couldn't fault it. Whether we watched videos, TV shows, read books, or just surfed, the experience was really flawless
