This is how I wear my Amazon halo, it was fine.
Amazon Halo View review: A $80 Fitbit competitor
To tell me when it's time to stop snacking, the programs don't seem to be doing much. Hopefully this will change in the future, as amazon adds more features. The amazon halo view is an affordable fitness tracker with long battery life, that's great for basic tracking, but its appeal depends on whether you're willing to pay four dollars per month to get the most out of it
It makes a 3D model of your body and tracks the emotional tone in your voice
If you choose to let it lapse, the Halo Band will still do basic activity and sleep tracking. .In charging a monthly subscription, Amazon is out on a limb compared to most of its competitors
Amazon Halo Review
The Amazon Halo is among a growing class of wearables that go beyond fitness tracking to provide a more complete picture of your health, a category that devices like the Fitbit Sense, Oura Ring, and Whoop Strap 3.0 also fall into. Its tone analysis feature aims to help improve your social and emotional wellbeing, while its computer vision-powered body fat measurement tool is meant to help you monitor more than just your weight
This is very interesting, love the website! I personally have an amazon halo and would be really interested to see how it sizes up.
I have now tried it. And I hate it. It is demotivating.
Was really looking forward to this until I read the Washington Post review. Which you should read before buying, because it eviscerates this device. BUT... I had already ordered it; it was too late to stop the shipment, and so, it came and I tried it. I am an overweight woman who works as an adjunct...
Amazon’s new Halo View fitness band seems a lot less creepy than last year.
Halo looks at 150 weekly minutes of activity versus daily goals, as the metric, which amazon will say, is a better way of looking at your weekly activity. That's one perspective because certainly other fitness bands out there take a different approach and you can still see steps in calorie burn over the course of a day and there's nightly sleep analysis. But it's that weekly goal
I hate humans
So some of the complaints I see are things that are obvious if people look at the product page or read a little. Of course it doesn't have a screen and I'm ok with that. I didn't want an apple watch otherwise I'd get one. I want SOME distance to tech. You do NOT have to upload naked photos to do the...
Yeah, I really enjoy it having gone from device to device and back again (5 fitbits, 3 garmin, 4 apple watch, 1 amazon halo). I find the sleep tracking is really great and the vague activity level is pretty good.
Not perfect but a really good first effort by Amazon.***Update 03/05/21***
I have been using Halo for a couple of months now and there is so much to like but it feels a bit rough around the edges when compared to other more refined products from Fitbit or Samsung. I have had a number of smart watches and fitness bands over the years. I have been using a high end smart watc...
