Is anyone playing Catan Universe using a tablet?  I like to wind down after work each night by playing a few games, but I would prefer not to sit at my desk PC to do so.  I would like to get a (wifi-only) tablet so I can sit on the couch while I play, or walk down to a cafe or something.  

Just wondering if anyone else here has any experience with this and can suggest certain models to look for / avoid.  

This would really be the only thing I use the tablet for.  I really don't want to spend more than $200.

Recommended tablet device for playing Catan Universe?

OK for some things, but not what I need

 But I can tell you when I started this up, it was at 80%. I've been playing around with it for a couple hours now, getting this set up, installing updates, installing apps and that sort of thing. And I'm at 66% a couple hours later. So I think you're still looking at some really great battery life

 This new model now supports a brand new Amazon Bluetooth keyboard attachment that you can either buy in a bundle or you can buy separately. So if you're the type of person that wants to do a lot of typing on your Fire HD 10, this is a very nice accessory. And lastly, this new model now supports Bluetooth 5.1

 Now let's get into some of the differences and upgrades over the previous model. So like I said, you get a slightly trimmed down overall design over the 2019 model and it weighs just a little bit less. This one comes in at 1.03 pounds, whereas the previous model was 1

I am looking for an e-reader on which I can read mainly papers from university. For this I would like to write down highlights and smaller notes as needed, which I can then access on my computer. So far I've used Notability, which was fine for highlighting and taking notes. There is no function to export the highlights, so I always had to work manually. For PDF's which are just poor quality scans from books I will continue to use Notability. 

The ereader should also not be so expensive. I have so far thought of the Kindle Paperwhite. But here, as far as I know, you have to manually export the highlights and notes from personal documents like Paper at the university (i.e. everything that was not bought in the Kindlestore) or is that now also possible directly? Does anyone know if I can also set highlights for graphics or statistics and export them as well? 

Would there be an alternative that is also in the price segment of the Kindle?

Best Ereader for University?

It serves its purpose.

 I know it's tempting, I know it's tempting. There are so many listings for tablets out there for 100, 120 bucks that boast 1080p displays and Android 11 and great RAM specs and build quality and all the rest of it, but I'm gonna tell you, once we go through the entire list of things, at the end of the day, the Amazon Fire Tablet 10 is the one you're going to want to own if you're looking for a tablet sub $300. The first thing I always talk about on a tablet, especially in this price range, is the screen. And if you remember, years ago, the Fire Tab 10s always had 1080p displays, or at least for the past few years, for a few generations, but they've always been on the dim side

 Not the fastest in the world, but they do get it done, whether it's the higher end games and all that stuff. So you might get more of an experience than you'd expect from a tablet in this price range for sure. The other great thing, battery life, when you're talking about these, they boast upwards of 12 hours of screen-on time. I think for the typical usage you're gonna be having on this, a lot of video, intense stuff like that, I would look more towards, my experience has been more toward 10

 That's still really good. If you're getting 10 hours of screen-on time, plus it's USB-C charging for the past couple of generations, so that's really good, makes it a little bit faster. Still not a speed demon when it comes to charging, but fast enough to where, if you leave it on the charger overnight, you're gonna get through the next day without any issue whatsoever. But the main point, when you're talking about other tablets, and Android tablets in particular, there are two things that come to mind

The second thing that I love that they did from previous generations, they upgraded the RAM, which on budget Android devices is so crucial. We learned from the phones. Going from two gigs of RAM to three gigs of RAM has allowed this thing to stay smooth, run well, and for me, gotten better over the past year when it comes to updates

Hello, I am a college student living in Mexico, I don't have a very good income and I cannot afford physical copies of my textbooks.  I can at most spend 200 dollars in this.  
Also, Mexican post service is garbage and nothing ever arrives, so I can only  get em from amazon or retailers that ship using either fedex or dhl.

Cheap tablet for reading? 200$ or less.

 Battery life I found is good battery lasted me 2 days and the 3rd started with %34 and I found that great. Been able to expand the memory with an SD card is awesome too, so you can buy the 32GB and expand it to a 1tb. Display is ok I guess for the price range and model, not amazing but adequate. You can migrate all your Amazon accounts so it's a breeze login to Amazon Music, Prime Video, Amazon Photos, Amazon Appstore, Kindle and Shop

Filling our lives with disposable technology is unsustainable. I would argue that users should be intentional about the objects they choose to demand. When it comes to a tablet, there should at least be some decent software support that lasts as long as the hardware does.

All of the various uses he described are things I already use my phone for. If anything this pushes me further away from investing in a cheap Android tablet.

I got the Tab A7 around Black Friday for $150 and really do like it, but mostly because of that price. At it's regular $230 price point I'd spend the extra $100 for an ipad.
