 On top of that, the reality is simply that Intel is used in more OEM designs, so there may be a feature on an Intel system, like Thunderbolt as one example, that just isn't available on an AMD machine. The good news is we are seeing higher tier GPUs used in AMD laptops this generation, however there's still a fair bit of work to be done, and it won't get any easier when Intel increases their competitiveness in performance. So that's it for our performance testing of the Ryzen 5 5600H. Next up for us is probably going to be Intel's Tiger Lake H45 processors, so we will get a nice Intel versus AMD system battle thing sort of happening in the laptop market very shortly, I would imagine

 Speaking of laptops, for today's testing we went and bought a Lenovo Legion 5 laptop that features the Ryzen 5 5600H. We wouldn't be able to make these sorts of purchases without the help of our Patreon and Floatplane supporters, so if you do want to support our testing, that's the best way to do so. Anyway, this laptop was one of the first we saw to use the 5600H with a local price tag of a little over $2,000 Australian dollars. Internal hardware aside from the CPU includes 16GB of dual channel DDR4-3200 memory, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 laptop GPU, 512GB SSD, a decent quality 1080p 165Hz IPS display with 100% SIGB coverage, and an internal 80Wh battery

 And this is achieved at the same power levels, which combined with enhancements to power gating and idle power, makes this new generation more efficient than before. AMD are continuing to address weaknesses in their processors, and the single-threaded gains in particular are a huge part of that this generation. In AMD's lineup, the 5600H is well positioned for budget-friendly laptop builds in the entry-level and mid-range of the market. Our gaming results seem to show that it's quite capable of handling a GPU like the RTX 3060, and there's plenty of performance on offer for productivity, especially if you're upgrading from any prior Intel-based laptop

I bought a Legion 5 for 1050 euros (2022 version). Was it a good deal?

 In terms of speed, the ryzen 5 5600h is great the laptop has always been fast and reponsive(if you're wondering this processor is slightly faster then the m1 macbook air's multicore cpu processing speed. The gpu is integrated so it will be slower than anything with a dedicated gpu when it comes to gaming and video editing). The screen is nice as it is anti-glare with 100% sRGB. The one thing I want to point out about this device is the price because for 900 canadian(got mine for 899) you're getting something that is worth atleast 200 dollars more

 They've recently added a new section to their website known as the Platinum Collection and this laptop was the first one to go up. These are going to be pre-built gaming PCs and pre-built laptops ready to go ready to ship out and this specific laptop is priced at $699 and if we can get some good performance out of it this might be well worth it due to the way PC part prices are right now.  So we definitely have a little bit of upgradability to this unit and with these newer gaming laptops I'm seeing a lot of soldered RAM. I'm actually glad they didn't do it with this. We have two DIMMs so we can easily upgrade this all the way up to 64GB. So now we're going to get right into some testing

 There's a few more things that I could actually do with this like up to TDP using a third party application and get a bit more CPU performance out of it. We could also overclock the GTX 1650 on the core and the memory plus remember this only has 8GB of RAM running in single channel and dual channel would definitely help out.  Now it's time to move over to some GPU benchmarks with 3DMark. First up Night Raid with a 28697, Fire Strike came in with an 8892, and finally Time Spy with a 3726. So yeah these benchmarks are actually looking really good for a budget laptop but it's really time to see how this thing performs in real world gaming. And since my voice is almost gone I'm just gonna let this play out
