I’m frankly extremely underwhelmed. AMD has failed to price these chips competitively once again, and while they’re actually quite good in the high end, discounted 12600Ks and 12700Fs are going to be making a mockery of the 7600X and 7700X for anyone who cares about multicore *very shortly*, and $300+ CPUs are something only a very small percentage of gamers should buy when the i5-12400F exists and will drive damn near anything out right now.

Finally got an Intel arc A770, what cpu should I go with?

Hardware Unboxed concluded the 7600x to be marginally better than the 13600k for gaming so by extension the 7700x would be slightly better again. However the 13600k is close in gaming performance and is far and away the better choice in productivity workloads like rendering. Personally I like the am5 platform for the idea of being able to drop in a new cpu in a few years time. Plus amd will be releasing x3D 7000 series cpus sometime next year and beyond.

It be disappointing to me of the 7600x is still a 6 core. Intel's i5 is now a 6+4 core, and I would not be shocked if the 13600k is actually a 6+8 core. How is AMD planning to compete with that, if the those 8 little cores are like on par in multithread performance with almost 4 big cores?
