 The scaling in this chart is almost identical between the games and the two different parts. The takeaway is that these parts can be cooled with relatively little in the CPU cooler department, thanks to the low power, so something like an AMD stock cooler would do okay for these. So closing out then, the 5700G's value is not as good as the $260 5600G. You get a lot of the performance, as in the vast majority of it, like 90% or so, or more sometimes, with the 5600G of the 5700G in a lot of these applications that are gaming

 The current price of of the processor made me very tempted. I decided to bite the bullet. As a processor, this is faster than the 5930k by about 30%. Gaming is great, although I have not used the APU

 I can say that I am getting high FPS with the combination of the 5700g and the RTX 2080. Having the APU will help if my graphic card decides to join the 5930k.  All in all I am very happy that I spent a little under $400 to get a more up to date PC.

Great for what I needed

 Ever since these new APUs were announced I have been trying to get my hands on one. But of course being that I am from Australia it has not been easy and even today I still don't think there is a single 5700G system for sale in Australia. However, about five to six weeks ago now I did manage to find an HP Pavilion desktop PC from an online seller who would ship to Australia so I snapped one up as I was very interested to see what this thing could do. Since then other reviewers have managed to get their hands on these new APUs and no surprises that they're much easier to get in other regions but with my purchase finally arriving last week I thought what the hell we're still three weeks away from the official retail release so I might as well get testing

 So I pulled the 5700G out of the HP system, installed it in our AM4 test system and got to it. But before we get into the results let's quickly discuss what the 5700G is all about as well as its little brother the 5600G. The Ryzen 7 5700G is an 8 core 16 thread processor using AMD Zen 3 architecture clocking up to 4.6 GHz with a 16 MB L3 cache and a 65 Watt TDP

 So that's likely going to have quite a negative impact on performance when compared to parts such as the 5800X. Then complementing the 5700G is the smaller Ryzen Fire 5600G which is a 6 core model clocked up to 4.4 GHz. The GPU has also been downgraded with just 7 Vega compute units clocked up to 1

 The Ryzen 7 5700G is an 8 core 16 thread processor using AMD Zen 3 architecture clocking up to 4.6 GHz with a 16 MB L3 cache and a 65 Watt TDP. Now what makes this model different to the other Ryzen 5000 series parts that we already have is the integrated graphics. But sadly it's not RDNA 2 or even RDNA graphics but rather Vega with 8 compute units clocked up to 2 GHz

..well and addendum realy Ok so iv also purchased the 5600G and well, they feel the same, it is comparably fast vs the 8core at "normal" user tasks lol, I realy only see the 8 core stretch its legs when compiling large sets of source code and that's only if I deliberately tell it to use 16threads, ya honestly the 5600G might be the better of the 2 for its target userbase.

By far exeded my expetations

  Also, the mounting screws were not large enough to mount the fan to the mounting plate. The screw threads were too narrow to grip the threads in the mounting-plate screw holes. So, I re-attached the fan that came with the Ryzen 5 3600 that I replaced with this Ryzen 7 5700G.  THE CPU The Ryzen 7 5700G with Radeon Graphics seems a bit swifter than the Ryzen 5 3600 that I burned up

2 GHz. I ran my Ryzen 5 @ 4400 MHz and burned it up after a few months. So I've set my Ryzen 7 5700G's speed @ 4425 MHz (175 MHz less than max-rated speed, rather than 200 MHz more than max-rated speed).  I certainly think that the value of the Ryzen 7 5700G exceeds the price that I paid (U

The Cooling Fan Was Mis-Engineered

 Maxes out at around 65c which isn't bad. Mugen 5 coolers are decent and pretty well priced.  The integrated graphics aren't bad, I have a 144hz 1080 display, and everything is butter smooth until you load up newer games. Titles like Halo MCC, Fallout New Vegas or Doom 3 (2000's) run better than expected, but the moment you try to load up something like Days Gone or No Man's Sky, you'll have a bad time

Browsing, transferring files, video/audio editing, this thing eats it all up with no issues or bottlenecks that I've found. Came from a Ryzen 5 1600AF on my original system (A320) paired with a GTX 1060 6gb and that worked pretty well for me. Now I have this 5700G in concert with a RX 6700xt on a B550 chipset and it is a pretty significant improvement. I debated on the 5800x, but wanted to have integrated video capability as a backup without sacrificing too much in terms of performance
