The challenge was finding titanium wire leader that could be crimped so the connections could be as streamlined as possible. Some titanium leaders can't be crimped.

Their #3 crimp, on the other hand, was an ideal match, and was proven to provide a very solid link for its wire leader.

I kept adding weight to the bucket, at first in 15-pound increments to 60 pounds, then in smaller increments until the leader failed. If you do this, you will want to cover the leader being tested with a towe to prevent it from flying off somewhere into the yard. With it being black and thin, it's pretty tough to find.
