So I’ll be moving into a shared apartment soon and definitely want to bring my bass along. I’m also looking to buy a new amp as I can’t being my old one along. Those of you that have experience with this, would you say I should invest in a big loud one like Fender rumble 40 (even though I most definitely won’t be able to play it loudly) or rather go with something smaller (8“speaker?), quieter or even just play through headphones (feel free to recommend some!). I have no experience with this whatsoever so any tips would be much appreciated!

PS: I’m still just a beginner, not looking to spend huge amounts of money. At this point I can’t even really yet tell difference between different amp sounds so even if it’s  “worse” it shouldn’t be a big deal yet.

 The ultra-low, my personal favorite, enhances the amount of low end output by 2 decibels at 40 hertz and minus 10 decibels cut at 500 hertz. So mid-range adjusts the mid-range frequency level of the amplifier. This provides up to 10 decibels of boost or 20 decibels of cut at the selected frequency. The mid-range frequency output is flat at the center position

 Like, no, man. This is rock and roll. This amp smacks in every way. You have to check it out

 Treble adjusts the high frequency level of the amplifier. This provides up to 15 decibels of boost or 20 decibels of cut at 4 kilohertz. So let's go to the rear panel. You'll be able to adjust the SVT-CL's biasing controls and select 2 ohm or 4 ohm output

 IF YOU HAVE A POWERFUL HEAD!!!!!!!! Im using a mesaboogie bigblock 750 through mine and its really good, powerful, and loud. just the quality isnt as good as the mesa boogie powerhouse 4x10. If you have the money to get a mesa 6x10 or 8x10 i say go with that. but that may make a huge dent in your wallet

This cab is the end all to amazing cabs! It has turned out to be the industry standard in tour worthy bass cabs and there is no denying why. My setup consists of a Stingray HH going through an Ampeg SVT-6PRO to power the Ampeg SVT-810E. The tone I get is so incredible and distinctive from any other rig that just firing it up to fool around gets my jollies goin'. The powerful 8 10" speakers is responsive to any EQ shaping that I do on my bass or head
