 The build quality is excellent, and the heavier than normal weight adds to that. At the $13 price tag, it’s a pretty decent price too! If you’re looking for a great travel charger for your devices, then this is a good one to get.

 Regardless, for travel in the US, this is perfect and it does double duty around the house keeping my GoPro, phone, tablet and other cameras charged without taking up much space.

This is a really good quality charger. I haven't used it enough to find it there are long term issues but so far it's working really well. I needed a multi channel charger for my phone and camera, both use USB-C but I wasn't quite ready to buy a USB-C dedicated charger since I would need to buy new cables and I still have various devices that use USB micro connectors. Going all-in on USB-C was not a step I wanted to take quite yet (too much invested in recent cables and devices)

 So the USB-A charger with 2.4A support on both plugs was a perfect compromise. While I have devices that support fast charging, it isn't needed for most of my use cases, I typically charge overnight so I have plenty of time to charge and don't have to worry about overheating the battery and making sure I have the right cables.

 Don't waste your money going USB C to Lighting. You can charge at the 18 watt iPhone limit with PowerIQ using your normal usb to lightning and a Anker PowerIQ 2.0 charger or battery pack!

 It will charge everything just as fast as quick charge 3.0 will except you don't have to have quick charge 3.0 on your device. I went from being a Samsung phone guy to being a iPhone guy just recently when my fiancee told me I should give the new iPhone XS Max a try

 In most instances, USB cables designed for high-data transfer speeds are not capable of high-speed charging. Amazon carries charging cables from several manufacturers including Anker.  Another reason Anker products are a good choice: their “no gotcha”, clear product descriptions and specifications as well as their customer support. I’m a quality oriented person. After analyzing most high-speed, USB wall chargers offered by Amazon, I selected the Anker Elite Dual Port 24W Wall Charger. This device has two USB charging ports, each capable of up to12-Watt, the highest (fastest charging rate). Charging lithium-ion batteries is not trivial! The maximum “safe charging rate” of built-in battery packs is not the same for a smartphone, tablet, camera, etc

So I won't normally write a review on something on the first day I get it. But this item has impressed me right out of the box. First of all - its heavy, rugged. It has actual weight to it, so you can tell its not just some cheaply assembled garbage

And while I'm not a big fan of the folding plug on any device, the plug seems to lock in very securely when its folded out

 Well with those other devices, I don't know if it was the device, or the cable i'm using, but they were slooooow. This charger, whether its the quality of the charger itself, or its "smart" ability to overcome cable resistance, has impressed me incredibly with its charging speed. This charger is charging my phone faster than the charger that it came with, seemingly. Maybe the same speed - but notably impressive, nonetheless

 The light is fairly bright in a dark bedroom so I would recommend having it somewhere the light won’t bother you if your like me and prefer a bedroom as dark as possible. This is a minor issue to me and I felt it wasn’t worth a star.  Bottom line: Anker makes top quality chargers/cables/screen protectors and more. You might spend a little more for their product but it is always worth it for the quality and support you get from Anker

  ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have several Anker products and have always found them to be good quality at a fair price so I didn't hesitate to order this travel wall charger. When it arrived, it worked perfectly but in the past week, the bottom port seems to have some problems charging. At first, I thought it was the charge cord I was using but it worked fine in the top port. When I tried different charge cords, the bottom port still has the same issue - sometimes it works, sometimes it won't charge

 The new charger is similar in appearance but slightly smaller and I'm happy to report that both ports function perfectly. Also the smaller size makes the charger less top heavy so it's more secure in the electrical outlet - the old charger would pull slightly out of the outlet when you attempted to use both ports. Part of the reason that I continue to purchase Anker products is because of their superior customer service and once again, they have not disappointed. I've updated my review accordingly as the new charger is a 5-star product
