 But these are the best I've owned. The sound is good, the noise cancellation seems to work well (although I have yet to mow the lawn and try them there) and they hold connection better than my previous earbuds. In general, they feel good in the ear and don't feel like you have a large device attached to you; although more on the fit later. And the case, charging, and battery life has served me well so far (I haven't tested them in any type of marathon listening session though)

 *************************** Update 4/29 Well the bluetooth cut out issue is definitely real and NOT only when using the phone. It seems to happen to me about 2-5 times a day no matter the state of the phone. :(. Other than this issue which is at least workable so far I really still like these buds

 *************************** Update 4/26 I still really like them. But, it does feel like the battery (especially in the case) is being used up more quickly than expected. While the description says 7 hours most reviews point to about 5.5 hours with ANC and about 6

 For now I will up this from a single start to 3 and see how this pair holds up over time.  Update 10/27 They seem great if I am just using the left bud. But while anc can be very good for the price, the sound drop outs several times a day and popping sounds in the right ear while using both really sucks. And no firmware updates in months to even try to help

 Obvious as one talks about higher prices you would expect more and that rating would drop. They certainly are not up to the standards of ANC that my wife’s Sony over the ear headphones can do but they are really small in comparison and cost $68 instead of about $350.

I firmly believe a lot of the negative reviews here are caused by the poor fit of the ear sleeves which impacts sound quality, noise canceling performance and ergonomic fit. But the solution is simple: get aftermarket ones yourself. The ones that fit my Jaybird X3 fit these perfectly fine

Let's start with the key takeaway - and keep in mind I am someone who has a sound system worth several thousand bucks in my living room. I take my audio seriously: These little things are amazing at their price. I can totally recommend them - the audio is great, the NC works well and the microphones provide crystal clear voice to whoever you are talking to (in quiet environments). BUT there are some caveats:  1

Controls need updated

I'm currently on my 4th pair of these earbuds. After originally purchasing these earbuds, the left ear piece lost sound, only playing sounds so low that its impossible to use. I requested a warranty replacement and received one quickly and easily. Then the same thing happened with the replacement pair and the next warranty replaced pair and now I am a couple months into owning the 4th replacement and the left ear piece has lost sound again

Very disappointing this is a consistent issue and I would never recommend these to anyone. I use lightly about once a week for an hour or two indoors

Wouldnt buy again

 On the receive side, very good. On the transmit side, must be at least good. I've made several calls to family and friends and didn't tell them I was using anything new. No one complainted about hollow sounding, or in a tunnel

 I do this by using a sound meter directly against 1 earpiece and slowly turn up the volume and get my numbers from that. Even set at 50% these things are cranking pretty loud.  3. Connection

  4. ANC. works OK, it's not great, but it's not bad, it does help. I work in large data centers around thousands of extremel noisy servers

 a. getting it to connect I have no issues with, it connects with all my electronics like immediately. Holding the connection. Here they're pretty impressive

Very good sound quality but needs improvement elsewhere <Updated>

  I haven't really tested them with a call, but this seems to be a lower priority feature for me lately.  Overall, I like these earbuds. They're comfortable to wear and make good sound, especially for the price. But also for the price, don't buy these for the ANC and related features, because they're disappointing

  I prefer a more neutral sound and was worried about the deep bass marketing. Many hip hop tuned headphones and earbuds just destroy the sound of rock music and other styles of music, making the listening experience bad. A brand that has been advertising heavily on YouTube is especially notorious for this. However, the sound is much better tuned on these and the bass profile is much closer to what I prefer

 I suspect cutting out the inner bit of rubber will make it easier to work with but may allow the plug to fall out in your pocket. If that's the case, just removing the plug would likely be preferred, at that point, and just pick out the lint when it happens.  I haven't really tested them with a call, but this seems to be a lower priority feature for me lately.  Overall, I like these earbuds

 Firmware update takes a while so make sure you have some time to do this.  These earbuds are advertised to have active noise cancelling and a transparency (hear through) mode using a multitude of mics. It's surprising to have this for the price, and let me tell you, you're not getting a high quality implementation of this. I was, primarily, interested in the transparency mode and it's just way too quiet to be useful

Good inexpensive earbuds

I've had these for a couple months now and I enjoy them. They connect instantly, sound nice, and the active noise cancellation is actually quite good for the price point.  The sound quality is roughly the same as other headphones on the market. For music, each layer sounds crisp and distinct

  The case itself is a bit bigger than those of other brands, but I think it looks slick anyway. I do think it opens too easily though, so it's not drop-proof. The charging port on it has one of those plastic inserts to cover it--similar to how phone charging ports were in the 2000's--just like many other Anker appliances. This design choice is really the only thing I actively dislike about their products

  The sound quality is roughly the same as other headphones on the market. For music, each layer sounds crisp and distinct. For phone calls, I haven't checked the microphone quality personally, but I haven't been made aware of any issues in recent calls.  I can use these continuously through most of each 8 hr work day, and I only need to charge the case every few days

Classic Anker product, well-balanced at a good price

 Seriously, I've worn ear plugs that were more painful before. ○ FIT: I tell people that I have weird ears and I ALWAYS struggle to keep earbuds in my ear. Some fit nicely, but I have always needed to push them back in throughout the day. Not with these guys!! They definitely lock into position and stay there (even while jogging!!) ○ SOUND: By no means am I an audiophile, but with the use of the custom EQ control in the app, I feel a new level of appreciation of the artists skills

 These have incredible sound control! ○ NOISE CANCELLING: I drove on the highway with my windows down and it was barely noticeable. It was so good at blocking that outside-peripheral environment, that when I passed a smelly car, my brain (embarrassingly) questioned if I had the noise cancelling turned on, or if I accidentally left it on "normal" mode. ○ CONTROL: I didn't expect this, but this was super cool. You can program 3 configurations: Right ear bud alone, Left earbud alone, Both earbuds together

First off, these are head and shoulders above anything else I've tried so there's no question how great they are. Here are the six best things I haven't seen in any other headphone I've bought:  ○ COMFORT: I cannot speak highly enough on how comfortable things things are. Seriously, I've worn ear plugs that were more painful before. ○ FIT: I tell people that I have weird ears and I ALWAYS struggle to keep earbuds in my ear

 Currently there's only "double tap" & "hold" commands. I would love if there was a "single tap" option added. ○ THE CASE: Yes, the case is small and it's easy to store in your pocket, but my biggest complaint is the charging port dust cover. You have to pry it open and it's only held on my a thin piece of plastic and the charger doesn't have 100% access to the port

.. they cannot connect to more than one device at a time, a feature which came with the Liberty buds. Also, they do not disconnect when placed back in the case, so if u get a call, ur buds will pick up, while in the case, so you have to disconnect the bluetooth from the call

 **UPDATE 3/6/21** Soundcore emailed me 2 days after my review, with info Bout how the buds disconnect after placing them back in their case, they dont disconnect instantly, they take about 8-9 seconds (i counted). So, i stand corrected, they do disconnect, on their own, after being put back in their case. They don't Connect to more than 1 device at a time, but no biggie, they are still worth it, they sound great!
