 This is an itw buckle. The sternum strap is adjustable here. You can see these different points of adjustment so that you can properly align the sternum strap to where your sternum is on your body. I have a slightly taller torso and i usually carry the body quite tight around my shoulders, so i've adjusted the sternum strap to closer to the bottom here

- the laptop sleeve is a little awkward. You can fit your laptop in there but the sleeve doesn’t go to the bottom of the bag and instead ends about ¾ before it reaches to the bottom. This means if you use a laptop sleeve like myself who also keeps the charger in the sleeve, that “bulge” in the laptop sleeve is going to make it harder for you to reach to the bottom too 

I’ve used this pack for a couple of months - not good for commuting

 So this is just another way to access the gear inside there that you can access on the side over here we have a stretchy mesh zippered compartment, which i have inside my nomad kevlar usbc charging cable. Just to note, both of these zippers are just ykk zippers. Just up here we have a large laptop sleeve which can fit up to a 15 inch laptop. I'Ve got my 13 inch macbook pro retina in there, as well as a large hair, gents magazine and then just behind that i've managed to fit in a rhodia, a4 dot pad and then i've just hooked on a little every man, grafton pen, on the side

 You can also see the taped seams here on the edges, so really high quality, stitching and water resistance for the main compartment. This little zipper here is actually giving access to that same side access compartment. So this is just another way to access the gear inside there that you can access on the side over here we have a stretchy mesh zippered compartment, which i have inside my nomad kevlar usbc charging cable. Great pack, too small in capacity for a commuter bag

 The magnetic closure is slick. However the straps are not up to Arcteryx quality like other bags such as the blade and the arrakis. The back pad seems to have been put on the chopping block as well. The bird is stitched rather than thermoformed

Also straps could be wider. You can really feel the pressure of a skinny strap when travelling with a heavy backpack after a while.

Great pack, missing one main feature

This bag is great, but smaller than youd expect, the way the top flap is manufactured, it doesn't fold out of the way when open, so it gets in your way when you try to access the main compartment. This is pretty frustrating and a surprising design coming from Arcteryx, who usually is very thoughtful about ergonomics like this.
