Hey everyone Mike here with Electric and today we're reviewing the Aerial Rider Ideal. Let's check it out. The Aerial Rider Ideal is very much a simple E-bike That doesn't mean it's not good quality it is. It's a very nice bike, but it's a simple no thrills bike

 I'd say 45 miles on pedal assist or 30 miles on throttle are much more reasonable expectations. The bike has a lower top speed of just 20 miles an hour, so that does help get better range than you might expect. Most of Ariel Rider's E-bikes are faster and more powerful, but a reasonably fast and powerful E-bike like this uses its battery much more efficiently, so you actually get pretty good range. As impressive as the performance is, considering the price, the rest of the E-bikes electrical components are pretty good decent, get the job done kind of stuff

I tested the Rye deal riding around town with mostly pedal assist on level three and a bit of throttle here and there, and I managed to go 38 miles before the battery completely died, so the claimed range is right on point for this bike. Wow! Most actual ranges on E-bikes are usually nowhere close to the claimed range, so I'm very impressed that they actually hit their claimed range and that it seems like with being a little more efficient you could even get further. This range obviously depends on pedal assist level, throttle usage, rider weight, and terrain, but with moderate pedal assist and throttle usage somewhere in that range is definitely achievable

It also features a headlight, a tail light, and a front basket and rear rack as optional features powering everything.  In Our testing, we did a long city ride with a 165 lb rider, mainly riding in pedal assist mode 5, with plenty of stop and go with top speed acceleration and using the throttle frequently. After 26 miles, the battery started getting down to the red light on the battery, and we could feel the power start to diminish. While On the lower end of their advertised 30 to 60 mile range, we did ride it aggressively and on a very windy day. We Even still had some juice left at the end of the ride

 Looking At the battery- it has a 48v14Ah pack that can be quickly removed and features a lock with a key. For Range, Ariel Advertises between 30-60 miles of range, depending on how much pedal assist and throttle you use.  With A 750w motor,, the bike gets to speed quickly and tops out at 20 mph (32.2 kph) on mode 5. The Output is powerful and balanced on almost all of the modes, and kicks in after 1 second. We Found that modes 4 and 5 output so much power that pedaling becomes almost irrelevant at 20mph

BEST EBIKE ON AMAZON!

I’ve been doing extensive research on what bike I should get for my daily commuter and I can’t make up my mind if I want to spend a $1500 budget on a cheap ebike or a decent hybrid. Please let me know your opinion and if you have any suggestions.

<p>Edit: thank you to everyone for sharing your opinions and to answer y’all’s questions. It will probably be a 6-8 mile commute a day. Maybe 10 on certain days I need to go to the gym. Don’t know the terrain exactly (I don’t think it’s too hilly), have only been to Denver a few times. Also, I am in pretty good physical condition so that is not a worry at all</p>

So I'm looking into ebikes and I really dig the stealth designs like the Ride1Up Roadster, KBO Hurricane, Luna Fixed Stealth etc. But I kind of want one with a throttle just in case I ever don't feel like peddling or something and none of those come with one. 

I know there's the Wing Freedom but I'd also kind of prefer something belt driven. The only one I've found that fits all of those is the E-Joe Sunday City Ebike but there's literally no info on that bike anywhere. 

So I was wondering if anybody knew of any bikes that hit all these marks or I was wondering if it's possible maybe add a thumb throttle to any of the bikes named? Also would like to stay around or below $1500. 

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

I live in Aliso Viejo, it's a hilly area and I've been thinking it'd be fantastic to have an e-bike for. I always thought e-bikes "rode themselves" and don't like the idea of that, but got to try out my stepmom's specialty como sl and loved that you actually need to pedal. I'm looking for an e-bike that doesn't go fast (I wouldn't want that) but can help out with riding up the hills. Not looking for something that's super heavy. I don't really know what tire type I'd need? There's so many different kinds of e-bikes and I've read through a few 'entry level' posts but a lot of the recommendations seem like they might be overkill for what I need? Figured I'd post in case someone was in a similar situation and found one they loved.
