I tried the Nordica Santa Ana 88s, they were ok but a bit soft and chattery. The vokyl secret 95s were too boring/groomer oriented, didn’t turn well. I liked the armada declivity 92 but could use a little more dampening in the tips. I’m 5’3” 120lb female

 You don't get that dampness that you will get from a ski that has metal in it, but it's not a nervous ski. It's something that feels really confident on edge and holds really cleanly all the way through the turn. So that high level intermediate up through that advanced level even expert skier that wants a versatile frontside ski, this is a great choice.

 This is a carbon layup version of the Declivities which all the other skis have metal. In this particular ski it helps keep that weight down which is great here. This ski is really going to be aimed at somebody who's kind of your advanced to expert level skier that wants something that's going to be more frontside oriented, more firm snow oriented, but still have a little bit more playfulness, a little bit more versatility than that dedicated kind of carving ski. It goes up into the turn, holds really well, nice and stable, builds power, has a nice little kick to the end

I have a 13 years old K2, 77mm underfoot that I barely used. I have been thinking about an 88 to 96 underfoot all mountain/freeride skis... Kendo 88, Mantra m6, Enforcer 94, Head Kore 93. Blizzard Rustler 9, Atomic Maverick 95...

I logically seem to think I should get something in the lower range I cited, an 88 like the kendo, but somehow I lean towards a wider one like the m6.

10 days east, 15 days west... What now?

 It's got the right mix of rocker profile and stiffness so you get a good, energetic, lively turn out of this ski. It doesn't feel very damp so it's not very fatiguing, it's very smooth. It's one of those skis that basically can kind of ski itself and just do anything you need it to do.

 Seeking some expert help - picking skis to buy..

I'm 5-11, 170 lbs, 46 years old, skiing for 15. Think I'm advanced intermediate. Ski about 10% double black, 50% blacks, 40% blues (with friends). Prefer moguls and trees (slowly), and bowls to groomed by far. Not a fast skier, but trying to get technically better at carving.

Live in the Midwest, and mostly ski about 2-3 trips /year in Colorado

I bought a 2020 Armada tracer 98 about 3 years ago after demoing on good powder day. It's great on the rare powder day, but don't like how it carves the other 90%, and want to sell it for a bit better carver (I usually don't get the great snow days). Had a bunch of conversations with ski shops and they all agree, say the Tracer is not a good front side ski, supposedly doesn't have enough sidecut and camber.

Most ski shops seem to recommend the Elan Ripstick 96 (regular) as the best for me (lively, forgiving, balance), but I couldn't demo it.  
Demoed Rustler 9 (felt too "wooden" \[damp\]), QST (unfortunately 85 - it was fine), and the 2022 Kore 93. (seemed fine, didn't hate anything about it).  
I want lightweight skis (I'm not strong, and I like tight technical terrain over going fast)

Has anyone tried both the Ripstick 96 and the 2022 (less stiff?) Kore 93, and have some recommendations between the two? Do you agree with the shops' recommendations? I'd prefer to buy (don't like the odds of demoing).

(Minor note - prefer the graphics of the Kore quite a bit to the Elan. I know that's theoretically not important, but hey, you all know it kinda plays a part)

 It's 88 underfoot so it will still be a quick edge to edge for you but it will still excel in some bumps and some softer snow. And it will excel well in trees also. The carbon really pushes you out of this into another one. And this is going to be a great ski for someone who maybe looking to get off of the rentals and quick learners

Speaking from experience, you will adjust to the ski, but unless you take tons of lessons, I don't think you'll get to a point where you find the ski great for bumps.

I'm a 5'7", 148 lbs, 45 yo advanced skier on the east coast, and I've been looking to replace my old Dynastars. I'd say my time on the mountain is usually divided 65% groomers / 30% bumps / 5% trees. I do enjoy carving big turns, though I wouldn't say I'm bombing the frontside - I topped out at a little over 30 mph last weekend, per my ski tracker. So I've been looking for an all-mountain ski that can carve at decent speeds, play in the bumps, and perhaps handle the occasional foray into the trees.

I thought I'd found my replacement: I recently picked up a pair of Head Kore 87s in a 170 (which is 3 or 4 cm bigger than I'd typically prefer, but they ski short on account of the rocker). And I took them out for the first time this past weekend. They're as light as advertised and carve remarkably well for such a light and metal-less ski, but MAN are they stiff - as in, I kept getting blown out of my line in the bumps.

All of which is to say, I'm now rethinking my choice. I can return the Kores if I want (God bless REI's satisfaction guarantee), though I suppose I might get better with them in the bumps with more practice. Does anyone have a better suggestion for an east-coast all-mountain ski based on the above info?

 As a result, there's a wide range of skiers that will like this, ranging from a lower-end intermediate looking for a ski that they can grow and progress on, all the way to someone like myself who's larger and more aggressive that just wants something a little bit lighter and more maneuverable. This ski really does it all quite well. That's it. That's the Armada Declivity 88C, great new ski from Armada this year

 The 88s are a very competitive field, normally we're seeing more heavy hitters like a Brahma or an Enforcer 88 with the two sheets of metal. This ski does a lot of what those skis can do, but with a fraction of the weight and a very friendly nature. So it's just a different type of 88, and it's nice to have that variety in the range. So yeah, added to that poplar and ash wood core are these carbon stringers that run vertically throughout the ski, and those just give it just a nice stiff overall feel to it

I already had my boot fitted this trip and i think its breaking in well? As i have 2-3 more trips already planned, i might of as well invest in a ski that can do all. Below are my short lists:  and my current test and buy rental is an Armada Declivity 88C. Which so far its been ok-ish but i think its my techniques to balme but its getting better.

I think the M6 Mantra or 102, Enforcer 100 or 94, or Armada Declivity 92 or 102 are good options to look into that are excellent carvers with all mountain versatility. Also might be worth checking out Atomic's new Maverick line.

Okay here I go. So I grew up skiing and normally skii out in CO but lately have been going up to WY, UT, and ID. I currently have and been skiing on a pair of Volkl Revolt 95 (2018) for the past 3 seasons. I have had to switch out the bindings once and plan to use these skiis when I'm just trying to mess around and not care about damaging my skiis. I originally "wanted" to be a park skiier, but as of lately have noticed how much more fun I have carving on steep groomers, and floating in deep powder in the trees. Am Currently trying to find some All Moutain skiis that are just well rounded in everything except for deep deep snow (buying powder day skiis already). I really enjoy carving deep and hard, but nothing like an old school racer skii. Still would like to skii cliffs, moguls, tree trails, you name it.
