I’ve got a pair of the shifts. They aren’t really a pop shoe for me. I’ll use them for long slows, but they roll more than pop. And are heavy. I’d say the ASICS novablast 2 have a good feel of energy rebound for a daily trainer. I really like mine.
Perfect shoe for me
True to size and great feel. Bought these looking for a daily trainer for sore joints. Owner of Ghost's, Vomero's and Pegasus. These are a new favorite for me.

I also have the Saucony Endorphin Speed 2 and Asics Novablast 2 but the Velocity Nitro is my most used running shoe because it is has very good grip, is comfortable to run in and very, very cheap! Got my daugter and son a pair as well
ASICS Novablast Review - Running Northwest
The bottom line here is the Novablast feels like nothing we have seen from ASICS, at least in a while. The cushion is amazing and the upper is comfortable and breathable.

Asics Novablast 2 RunnerClick
With the Novablast 2, Asics has not only fixed the things that were wrong with this shoe, but they added new features that will certainly leave this shoe on quite a few ‘best of’ lists this year.

The Vomero is pretty high end to begin with. But if you want to try something kind of similar (very cushioned,) you might try the Nike Infinity React or the Skechers Maxroad Hyper. A lot of people like the Asics Novablast too.
