 Now, when we spoke before about color accuracy, I did mention that this was a little bit better than most of the older 8-bit panels that we see on the TN side of the technology. this guy here does have a better Srgb color accuracy, but the trade-off for me because I won't be using it for video creation like this with the 1 millisecond response time I myself have been gaming this whole time on a Ben Q RL 2460 MLG monitor with a 1 millisecond refresh rate for playing FPS or timing sensitive games.  So other than what's on the inside for display technology, let's go ahead and take a look at exactly what the outside of this monitor looks like. Aesthetically ticking the tour are On the outside of the monitor. we see average to above average sized bezels with very minimal branding, a stylistic and small base that offers full rotation and height adjustment with of course the option to just remove the arm entirely and go with a base amount option, and rear mounted controls with nice tactile buttons and a thumb stick that offers the ability to see exactly what each one does with the branding in the front. Now the I/o on the back of this monitor is something that really helped to sway my purchasing decision and this has more ports than honestly I've ever seen on any other monitor

So yeah, these monitors have irregularities on the screen, backlight bleed issues, clouding, etc, but so do most LCD panels, especially the ones that don't have a mirror reflective finish that masks these issues nicely. Once we can all afford to get an OLED monitor, all these issues will be gone by design. With that said, I have learned to cope with these irregularities as they really do not effect gaming at all, nor can you even really tell unless you get a very dark screen.  What is important to me on this monitor is the following:  No dead pixels  Crisp, clean image, and accurate colors for TN panel

Has it's flaws, but they are very manageable. The pros outweight the cons here.

So I purchased this monitor about a month ago, and have noticed some very good UI and settings navigation, as well as decent good quality as well for the price, but what I have noticed that brings down my rating one star is that this monitor has some interesting "bleeding" or "dragging" when moving things on screen slowly. Pretty good w/ some nitpicky issues (currently researching)

This review is in regards to the 28" TN panel version. I was attracted to this monitor due to great experiences previously with 1080p ASUS monitors. This was also one of the very few 4K monitors that offered DP 1.2 and HDMI 2

Great Overall Gaming Monitor for 4K PC and Console (GTX 1080 + XB1S User)

 The one that worked was set about as bright as it would go out of the box, but contrast was poor no matter how I configured it. Compared to LG 27UD8 (granted a bit more expensive but more than a year old) there is a very clear difference in black level - particularly black text on a white screen. By comparison the Asus looked washed out and everything seemed to glow, making text difficult to read. Amazon took care of replacing the DOA unit (Thanks Amazon!) but I sent the other back because it just didn't perform anywhere close to the LG

the other was fine. One was to replace a much older Asus

The ASUS MG28UQ has great resolution, but has a color shift and a vertical line.
