 There's also a nice metal backplate with a cutout towards the tip for some flow-through cooling. For today, we have a stripped down set of just 4 benchmarks, but as you will see shortly, that's all that's needed to understand where the 3080 Ti lands. We ran these tests with a Ryzen 7 5800X on an MSI X570A with 32GB of 3600MHz RAM. Just a quick note on power consumption, all the cards we have here are factory overclocked models with higher than reference power limits

 Next, we have Rainbow Six Siege, a competitive shooter that gives us an idea of the GPU's performance in esports titles with higher FPS. With the settings at Ultra, the RTX 3080 Ti performed just 3% behind the 3090 in both 1440p and 4K. Next up, we have a ray tracing test in Cyberpunk 2077. In this game, we used the ray tracing ultra preset, but with DLSS set to performance setting, which sets the internal resolution to a quarter the display resolution

 For accessories, you get the same info packet, a ruler on a keychain, and some ROG branded hook and loop strips. Physically, the Strix 3080 Ti is also the same as the previous Strix cards, with a huge heatsink and a black gray shroud and some pretty aggressive styling. There's also a nice metal backplate with a cutout towards the tip for some flow-through cooling. For today, we have a stripped down set of just 4 benchmarks, but as you will see shortly, that's all that's needed to understand where the 3080 Ti lands

I think as a great add-on for the future we should discuss and settle the most optimal manufacturer of AMD GPU’s . This could be extremely helpful for me but also for future help seekers in this sub. 

My personal experience:

XFX used to be the Evga of AMD, with the todays generation of 6000 Cards it seems like it is rather hit or miss, due to often bad cooling. On the other hand XFX tends to be cheaper than Sapphire but also cheaper then PowerColor.

6600 on MindFactory: Sapphire 317€ (Pulse), PowerColor (295€), XFX 288€ (swft210)

PowerColor is meant to be equal with Sapphire, since they managed to be equal with them in the last generation, I had no experience with them for this generation. 

And Sapphire is out of debate, since there is no reason to doubt their place at the top.

What is your opinion?

<p>Edit: I bought the 6600XT, I chose this one over the 3060 because of various reasons, I don’t have a 16 plug (I am too broke to upgrade my PSU), the 6600XT performs slightly better in a realistic scenario (I call it realistic because it does not include ray tracing since the 3060 is better at it but not good enough to consider, DLSS only is effective at 2k or higher, which I don’t have and lastly because I don’t stream and don’t need nvec, AMD has a good 256h if i remember right and that is what I used to render Motion Videos before I quit that) another important reason was the price point. I got the 6600xt for 2€ below MSRP, while the 3060 still goes for 50€ above MSRP.</p>

XFC vs Sapphire vs PowerColor

God I love the Strix line of GPUs. Love my 1080ti and it's been going strong for over 4 years, but I can't see why anyone would buy this GPU unless you have extra money. It is a GREAT card, but unfortunately way too pricey for me to justify it. It is GREAT for gaming tho

 I got them. They got me. All right, y'all, we got deaf loop playing on RTX 3080 TI. Again, this is a newer title

 But if I actually take a look at the Heaven benchmark here, if I take this and I look at the sensors, I'm gonna pull this down and hopefully you could be able to see this. Texture pet ultra high, high, high, high. All right. Let's do a couple of rounds and man, this thing is butter string about 120 Hertz

 So if I switched over to the machete, I'll see if I could sneak up on, show you a little bit of step. Yeah. Yeah. Pretty dope

 Now it says here, suggested PSU, 750 watts. Technically, they actually recommend, well, not they, I actually recommend 850 watts. And I'm gonna tell you in a second, it says that the TDP is 350 watts, but I actually was paying attention and I was running some, you know, running the games and I was running the actual Heaven bench and I can actually pull it up now so you can see. The card actually gets up to like a little, you know, especially if you're doing the OC mode, it gets up to a little bit over 400 watts

The bigger issue I see is the GPU and its cooling fans. The top-end RTX 3000 cards put out a lot of heat and the fans have a lot cut out for them to keep things cool. This is hard to do in today’s GPU market, but do a search of quiet GPU models and see if you can get one of them (ASUS Strix and TUF, MSI Gaming X or Suprim, a few others).

I am planning on building a pc soon and one of the most important things to me is it being as silent as possible (I don’t want to hear it at all while wearing headphones) while also having high quality (1440p at least) graphics and high frame rates (120fps). Should I opt for a fan cooler or water cooler? I am going to get a rtx 3080, a ryzen 5 5600x, and a Corsair 4000d airflow for my case.

 So it's a card that does a lot right, and also doesn't waste its budget on some stuff that many people probably won't find too useful, like the little screen you can find on the current AORUS cards. And looks wise, well, it's always subjective, but I say it's pretty good. I would have preferred a more black overall look, but it's still nice. So it's definitely a good RTX 3080 Ti to look into if you're planning to buy one, though that leads into the much bigger question of if you should even buy an RTX 3080 Ti

 Glad to see certain things never change. So the Strix, as I'm going to simply refer to it, does a few things rather nicely. Firstly, it has a 9% improvement in boost clocks over the base 3080 Ti fans edition, which is really nice, so you will be getting quite a bit of extra performance out of it. And thankfully, unlike so many other current gen cards, this one has two HDMI ports out back, and three display ports

 Most cards are triple slot, and most of them are absolutely massive, so again, just make sure you have the space. And once again, Nvidia's weird 12 pin connector is really not taking off, and this card simply uses 8 pins like most normal cards. So it's a card that does a lot right, and also doesn't waste its budget on some stuff that many people probably won't find too useful, like the little screen you can find on the current AORUS cards. And looks wise, well, it's always subjective, but I say it's pretty good
