 At most the internal temperature for the power stages is going to be 10 to 20 degrees higher than what we're reporting here so they're running well within safe parameters for both models. As for dimensions, as mentioned earlier, this thing is a behemoth taking up 2.9 slots at 58mm wide, so in other words, it takes up 3 slots

MSRP rises about $80 for major GPU manufacturers (ASUS, GIGABYTE, PNY, ZOTAC, more to come) due to GPU tariff exclusion having ended.

 So when I purchased, scalper markup was ~20% and that was an absolute act of desperation on top of already terrible value. Today's prices of nearly 75% over - forget about it..

MSRP has changed a bit and with Strix/ROG branding (or any AIB) you should expected these cards to be more than the ~$1500 Founders edition, this is the way. However, scalpers gaming the system is incredibly frustrating and I ain't got time to watch twitter bots for weeks trying to catch a stock drop. So when I purchased, scalper markup was ~20% and that was an absolute act of desperation on top of already terrible value. Today's prices of nearly 75% over - forget about it

 Still, I would say that the power consumption remains the biggest issue of this 3090 Ti. Now the amount of extra power it uses to get that performance is just incredible. I mean, I get that this card is all about performance, but I think it would be irresponsible not to point out that in order to get that performance, you really shouldn't care about the concept of value, a concept of power efficiency, or even that bigger impact on gaming on a card that uses about 500 watts. Now I'm sure that if you can afford this card, you can also afford your power bill, but with electricity now costing about 50 cents per kilowatt here in the Netherlands, it will probably be worth remembering that every long night that you spend gaming with this card will cost you a couple of euros in electricity, which adds up quite quickly

 So I can actually just focus on this particular model today. So the Ti is supposed to be up to 10% faster than the 3090. It doesn't really offer good value at all and you can kind of throw the power efficiency out of the window because these cards are extremely power hungry, trying to squeeze out every last bit of performance possible. Now the model that I have right here is this pretty insane looking ASUS ROG Strix OC edition that is liquid cooled

 But let's take a look at this ROG card. So I do think that the fan curve can use a little bit of tuning, but I also do think that this level of thermal performance does deserve some credit. They have done really well with overbuilding this card with a proper cold plate that kind of cools the chip as well as the memory, and they also didn't cheap out at all. The Asus Strix RTX 3090 OC Edition is a beast of a card, at the consumer level there is no work load this beast cannot handle. The Asus Strix brand also brings with it quality, all the components working on this card from power delivery to the heat sink and dRGB is top shelf. With performance comes significant power draw, so be prepared to have a beefy power supply, I believe 850 W is recommended, and you will need it at the minimum. My typical power draw on this card with a Core i9-10980XE is between 600 and 680 Watts under load, so 850 is just about right to ensure margin

Now memory speeds are the same for all of these cards, meaning that none of these have their memory overclocked in the factory. Now that might not sound too impressive for ACE's, but you do have to remember that this card is doing that with a higher power limit and higher power consumption, which also generates more heat. So it is fair to say that the ACE's cooler design is probably still the most efficient out of the bunch
