 Anything like that it's going to work really well. You certainly don't have to do that. Plenty of people will just mount this with an alpine binding and ski it in the resort. As is true with all the bent Shetler or all the bent skis, we do get a pretty big range in potential mount points in this ski

 It's more of a twin-tip powder ski, so keep that in mind if you're considering it. If you're more of a directional skier, I'm not saying that it won't work for you. Just be aware of its shape and be aware that the tails are pretty soft. If you're looking for like a big mountain charger powder ski, you might want something with a little less tail rocker, a little bit of a stiffer flex pattern, stuff like that

 You know it can feel great on a groomer. I think it's still perfectly accurate to say that groomers are not its intention. Sure among 120 wasted skis it does feel pretty good on a groomer, but yeah if you are buying this ski you should not have groomers as the highlighting application of it or that shouldn't be the thing that you do on it. Most this ski should be your powder ski

 And then in these skis we get their Horizon Tech tip and tail technology, so kind of a beveled finish to the base of the ski, both in the tips and the tails influenced by surfboards. I like to think about it as like a displacement boat hull. It's basically just giving the ski less pressure towards the tips and tails which allows for easier edge release and more of a surfy smear feel. It works really well if you've never experienced it

I think the bent chetler is the best all around ski I've ever ridden. I'm a bigger 6 for guy and they just rip everything I've ever thrown at them.

I could use some help choosing a pair of skis.  I am a 5'10 male weighing 170.  I've been skiing backcountry only for the last few years and want to get a set up for inbounds.  I have a pair of 115 underfoot x 186 length powder skis that will be getting inbounds bindings mounted so whichever ski I go with would be my "all mountain" ski used for moguls, steep inbounds chute hiking, and playing around on little jumps and drops on the side of trails.  My understanding is the K2s will charge a bit better through crud while the Bent Chetlers will be more playful and easier to turn and take into the air.  Since I have some powder skis to compliment them I'm leaning toward the Bent Chetler but I'd love to hear some other opinions and am open to other ski suggestions.  FYI I was considering the Mindbenders in length 179 and the Bent Chetlers in 180.

Help me decide between K2 Mindbender 108 and Atomic Bent Chetler 100

 This is a powder ski, it's wide, it's 120mm underfoot which means you float a lot in softer snow. It has a lot of rocker so you can keep aggressive in powder. You don't feel it so much in your legs, you have a really nice swing weight, you can pivot the ski quite easily. On this ski they have a standard alpine binding, you could go with a binding like the Atomic Shift which is kind of a hybrid touring and alpine binding and because the ski is so light you can tour really well with it

 I'm riding the 192mm, I'm 190mm so you want to be riding this ski about head height. This ski is perfect for any kind of freerider, if you really love the soft snow, fresh snow powder this is exactly what you're looking for. As usual every year Chris Benchella does his own graphics so this year it's like old man winter and then on the bottom there's like an American eagle. Super cool graphic, really fun ski, yeah for freeriding perfect

 They are really light. So if you want a back country, powder dedicated touring setup, this is also a really good option for that. I had an awesome time riding the Atomic Bent Shetler 120 today. It's the 14th year of the Bent Shetler series

 Totally get why Atomic has this surfy ski that's super fun to ride. Going to be great for the deepest of pow days. We're skiing about two inches of snow right now. Super fun in two inches, so I can only imagine how these skis would perform in anywhere above that, a foot of snow, two feet

 So this is a monstrous 120 underfoot. This guy is going to be a light, maneuverable powder ski, something that's going to do really, really well in deep snow. I'm on the Atomic Benchetler 120 right now. I am pretty impressed after one run

Playful 50/50 ski?

Some Bent chetler 120's,  kingpin 13's and some cochise 130's for these wonderful and fluffy canadian rockies and monashees      so stoked

Not sure about your ski background or your preferences while skiing but the Atomic Bent Chetler 120s are favored by many, Blizzard Rustler 11s, Salomon QST blanks could also be good, and maybe Armada 116 JJ. I would go to blister's gear reviews and look through this category and find one that will do what you want it to do.

My current skis are Fischer RC skis with a tiny width of 68, and obviously these wont do for the powder in Japan.

What sort of skis is good for Japan?

I ski in co too and I love my atomic bent chetler 120’s. I mounted them with shifts because I loved them so much and didn’t get to ride them as much as I liked. Now I can ride pow days and tour backcountry with a smile from ear to ear every time! They also have the coolest top sheets on the market.

I currently run a 1 ski quiver with the Nordica enforcer 104 free. Great all mtn ski, but looking to add a second ski. I’d like a pow ski but as I can only ski weekends, I only get 3-4 pow days a year if I’m lucky so thinking about a more narrow ski for early/ late season ice. Looking for some suggestions!
