 For rock and jazz the bass overpowers a bit too much to me. I just listened to the Beatles' "A Day in the Life" and I sure could hear Paul's bass beautifully. But, for my taste and the fact I can't adjust the levels, the bass is just too loud and the music sounds out of balance to me. If you are way into bass you will like this, but I'm strongly considering returning the speaker

Great bass sound, but too much...?

These speakers provides better sound quality for critical linstening than JBL partyboxes but less bass which is needed outdoors or for party feelings. If you don't need all in one solution sat/sub sulution provide the best sound quality for price. BT is not problem also in this category.

Just out of the box, speaker reproduces excellent mids and highs ... Though I did notice that many bass notes were almost entirely missing

Looking for a portable speaker with a $400 budget for living room and backyard usage

Yes, the sound quality is great, that being said --- this is clearly a speaker someone would order that has aesthetic in mind. A big reason why I ordered this specific model is because of the brown leather handle and gold buttons to match the rest of my decor - however I got one with a black handle and silver buttons. It's crucial to provide the product in the photo especially when someone is paying $250, so to not get what I paid for is extremely disappointing. I am not one to write poor reviews, but I did not receive a message back from Amazon so here we are

Great sound quality but if you want the brown handle with gold buttons don't get your hopes up.

I've tried the JBL xtreme 3 but when it was above 90% volume, the highs totally overlap the basses and sound awful and that shouldn't be for 250€ speakers.  


I've been looking at the Sony XB43's but they unfortunately don't have the strap that JBL provides.

Current favorites up to 200€?

Decent speaker, but audio compression past medium volume, also on some songs at below medium vol u can notice volume and bass reduction.. really gets in the way! I really wanted to like this speaker, well built, but not worth $250! They need to sacrifice some battery life for more power.

We're in a process of looking for a new sound system for our home since our last set burned. We wanted something like marshall stanmore/action or beolit. So similar fancy design and price, good sound quality and stuff.

Would be great to have Bluetooth for the times we would like to take it outdoors, and also be wired to our old ass TV/turntable. If I understand correctly both marshall and B&amp;O are able to pair among themselves and be able to play stereo, am I right? But does it work with an aux to the tv? 

I was also thinking Sonos, but they seem to be extremely expensive.

Will appreciate any opinion and suggestions.

Marshall stanmore 2, beolit 20 or?

 The box had color labels for both. Called Amazon and they sent another one. What color? You guessed it! Orange!  I liked the sound enough to just keep it.

Really balanced sound and fantastic battery life. Not a bass thumper, just good and even sound. Solid build and easy to use.  I order the grey one but got an orange one

Hope you like this in orange!
