 When I did pedal Assist Level Five, I got 12.6 seconds. This bike seemed to jump off the line pretty quickly and the easier gear you're in, the more you're going to accelerate up to that top speed. When I had the Pace 500 completely off, I got 18 seconds flat, which isn't terribly bad considering this is a 49 pound E-bike This is one of those E-bikes I still feel like you can pedal around even if the battery's dead

 When it comes to the throttle only, I got one minute and 48 seconds. That's a lot faster than we got on the event and level, and I think that's partially due to this bike being a lot lighter weight coming in at 49 pounds. When I did maximum pedal assist level 5, I got 1 minute and 16 seconds just 8 seconds behind the evented level. So this seems to be a little bit closer together when it comes to the speed and capability of the throttle and the pedal assist, but the venting level might still be a tad bit faster

5 miles per hour. That's pretty quick considering how far our test rider went. Whether you are going commuting or cruising on the Pace 500, you'll have more than enough battery life to get to your desired destination, so don't be afraid to put the pace through well, it's paces. [Music] Alrighty bikers! We're at our famous hill test here to see how the Pace 500 is capable of climbing hills on maximum pedal assist and with the throttle only its brother

 After we do these three tests and give you the times, you should have a better idea of how the Pace 500 jumps off the line and what type of speed you'll reach within that first little boost of time. With that being said, let's get pedaling [Music] [music] [music] Alrighty guys, So I just finished up those three tests that I mentioned in the intro: the Pedal Assist Level five, throttle Only, and the Pace 500 completely off. Best commuter e-bike under 2,000

 I love the way it's built into the frame because it looks so clean and elegant. That said, it's a bit smaller than we usually see in this class of E-bike though only slightly. Even so, you still get quite good range. And in fact, I love the way Evinton always gives us the real world range figures, showing us that not only does the throttle only range give us about 30 miles of range at 20 miles an hour, but depending where you fall on the pedal assist levels from 1 to 5, you could get anywhere from 24 to 47 miles of range

 The bike rides on 27 and a half inch by 2.2 inch street tires, so there's a bit of a cushion there to make up for the lack of suspension, though admittedly not a ton of cushion. Even so, this is still a comfortable bike to ride because of the geometry. It's not a forward hunched commuter bike, but it's also not a totally upright cruiser either

 As the name implies, the Pace 500's rear motor is rated at a continuous 500 watts, though you know the peak power is definitely higher. I mean, it has to be because this model is a fast class 3 E-bike that gets up to 28 miles per hour or 45 kilometers per hour and it doesn't take too long to get there either. Plus, the 8-speed transmission lets you actually pedal fairly comfortably at higher speeds too. The bike gets powered by that new 48 volt and 12 amp hour battery with 614 watt hours of capacity

 Even so, you still get quite good range. And in fact, I love the way Evinton always gives us the real world range figures, showing us that not only does the throttle only range give us about 30 miles of range at 20 miles an hour, but depending where you fall on the pedal assist levels from 1 to 5, you could get anywhere from 24 to 47 miles of range. The idea of an ebike has intrigued me for awhile now and over the past year or so I’ve looked quite heavily into the world of pre-built ebikes. Not really interested in DIYing anything at this point.

That said, I feel like I’ve not found one that necessarily fits the bill for the things I’m looking for, which are:

\- Integrated, removable battery (able to be charged off bike)

\- Throttle

\- Integrated lighting

\- Frame that fits a smaller person (5’7”)

\- Overall sleek, more minimalistic look (subjective, I know - More on the side of Van Moof or Cowboy and less on the side of RadRunner)

\- Priced around $1,750 USD (or less)

In the past I looked pretty heavily into Wing Bikes, as it kinda hits all of the above asks. However, a few things had me worried: 1) that the bike wouldn’t fit. They list it as fitting riders 5’6” - 6’4”, but seems like the frame size is \~58cm. My last bike was a Nashbar single speed cyclocross @ 52cm (pretty sure that was size...) and it felt too tall for me. That said, multiple people have remarked that the Nashbar SSCX ran tall ([see posts like this](https://www.bikeforums.net/19904142-post12.html)) but it does have me a bit apprehensive. I also know they have the smaller "S" version of the Freedom, but something about the geometry looks like a kid's bike to me. 2) would be the customer service concerns. Seems like there are posts and reviews everywhere about issues with customer service. To be fair, I’ve also seen posts praising their customer service, but it does seem pretty hit or miss.

For a bit I also looked at the Ride1Up Core-5/LMT’d, but it’s missing the integrated lights and honestly I’m not sure I’m 100% sold on the looks. I know the customer service/reputation of Ride1Up is more established, though, so that was a trade off.

Overall, just looking for insight from the folks here who know a lot more than I do about it. Does the bike I’m looking for exist or am I chasing something that isn’t on the market (yet)?

Help finding my white whale?

Looking for step through (or at least not high bar) commuter with comfortable ride. Would be my first eBike. Budget up to $3,500 but $1,500-2,500 preferred. Willing to wait until next year if there are superior options coming out but with supply chain issues, it may just be 'find something good enough' time.

5'7, 180 lbs w/29" inseam. 55 yr old weekend warrior. Fine doing basic maintenance. Two local LBS within 5 blocks that support most eBikes (they didn't seem to love Rad). 

Use: Grocery store runs + 3x/week 9 mile trip through residential areas to downtown Minneapolis. There will be potholes. No greenway/midways (All South to North) but can detour around some lakes. Not many hills but need accel/zip as MN drivers suck. Class 3 ideal as will have long stretches where can max speed safely, or at least 25 mph with pedal assist. That said, will also have many stops on route so can't be unwieldy at low speeds. 

Options so far:  
Priority Current: Can get 20% off through Costco. Great components. Just wish I could test ride. At top end of budget.

Aventon level: Ticks all of the boxes. Setting up test ride soon. Would need to add lights. Not exactly zippy but I don't need to leave skid marks - just don't want something where I'm dying of embarrassment as a Prius honks behind me or regretting not getting something more powerful.

Step through commuter options

Hi'ya. I've been searching for ebikes for the last few weeks. As I'm budget limited (under $1900 including necessary accessories), I'm mainly looking at Direct to Customers companies but there are still too many of them. 

There's a 15miles commute for me everyday. Not all asphalt and a bit hilly. I've been looking for some fattire and allterrain ebike but they are all very similar and I'm confused with all the specs...

Any suggestions on this price range would be great ORZ

Which bike would you choose and why??

I'm looking to get a good elliptical/bike hybrid for cardio at home. I try to work out 6 days a week lifting weights on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday and then cardio on Mon/Wed/Fri. I had an elliptical before that cost around $200 but it ended up breaking down fairly quickly. This time around I'm looking to get a really nice reliable machine but I'm not sure what brands or machines are good to look for. My price range is anywhere from $500 to $2000. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
