 I'Ve got this plugged into a scarlet and it's gone into the line intimate level it's quite low at the minute actually, but it does have a distortion circuit and it will be bringing any other oscillator. Great sound , amd great value for money 💰. Build quality is not as good as you would except But besides that its the closest synth to the real Model D .

 And you can trim that as well. Next up the distortion circuit really rings nicely with residents coming out of the filter can get to extremists sometimes, but it certainly changes. It enhances the tonal quality of this synth [ Music ]. Here'S another example of the almost formulaic sounds: you can get easy residence, modulation, [, Music, ] and then a final neat little trick with oscillator for modulating filter pitch okay

 Here, the filter is a 24 DB per octave low-pass and high-pass filter. There'S a filter envelope, a VCA envelope and an additional bonus distortion, chorus and arpeggiator and sequencer modules. You'Ve got volume, control for the balanced line; outputs, as well as volume, control for the headphone output and also on the back, are a series of modular inputs and outputs clock in and out keyboard. I have a poly D and i love it. Since i got it i have had a prophet rev 2 and a juno 106 and the poly d in my opinion is better than both. Its a serious musical instrument and so easy to get great sounds from. What makes it amazing is if you put it in unison mode, set all osc's to the same then move osc 1 one notch higher and osc 3 one notch lower

 I'd pay more for a decent Fatar keybed, like $100's more because of the next point.  3. The synth itself sounds amazing. I've owned a Minimoog and I currently own a Moog One

 It puts out some serious voltage.  5. You can't beat this thing for the money, it's about as accurate a re-issue of the classic Minimoog I've ever heard and I have two Behringer Model D's, but this thing is different IMHO. With used Minimoog's going for $6000 or more, this is a no brainer

 The synth itself sounds amazing. I've owned a Minimoog and I currently own a Moog One. The Poly D is dead on to the Minimoog. If I still had my old Minimoog, I'd run a comparison, but I've been around Moog gear long enough to know what sounds Moogish and what sounds like a digital recreation (and if I still had my Minimoog, I wouldn't be writing this review!)

Is the Behringer Odyssey or Poly D worth the money?

 So far it has lived up to its hype. Sounds really good (I presume the addition of polyphony hasn't harmed the model D sound!). Yes, its not truly polyphonic (only single filter/adsr etc) unlike the Deepmind with its individual voices, but if you think of it as a monosynth-plus - all the richness with added the added benefit of being able to do simple pads and chords. The simplicity of the layout and huge controls makes this a great learning/starter tool for a beginner in subtractive syntheses (like me!), with absolutely no menu diving or hidden settings

I bought this as I wanted a fairly simple synth with large, quick access controls. I had been considering a (Behringer) model D for a while, but liked the idea of being able to use the oscillators individually (paraphonicly) - something I really missed being able to do with the SE-02. So far it has lived up to its hype. Sounds really good (I presume the addition of polyphony hasn't harmed the model D sound!)

We get really really dirty with some of those routines and some of that, so what I'm saying is you know it may seem very simple, but we got a whole lot of timbers and tones out there couple of points here, I'd like to see now, as this Is you know, obviously not I'm on a Minimoog? You know it's got full voices

 So let's just do that. I'M coming out of the headphones here and I'm going to go into the external input and I'll. Take the your level down for now and we've got the sandwich. It'S quite resonant, yeah I'll bring it out

 The oscillators do sound nice together. These are all sawtooth. You'Ve got a bit of filter mod using the this oscillator here, which goes nicely in order out and I'm also [ Music ], adding a bit of extra filter envelope here. [, Music, ] Department of vibrato, [, Music, ] and I've got the top oscillator set an octave lower

 One you've got one of these little rocker switches, which is a shame because I quite like using the tone control as a sort of additional tone shaping, but you can't tape shape the tone without having some Drive. So that's a bit of a shame, but we've also got this chorus, which is a Gino style chorus. We can have chorus one chorus 2 or both together and that's again, switch to blue now and that's stereo, so it makes the whole thing a stereo unit. So if we now flip the back up, we can look at the connections USB for MIDI in out and through on dins
