 So once you remove that and I won't do the whole thing. but you can then push the mount forward and it disconnects from the helmet so held together by the front piece on the mount. And also that the rubber grommet that's in the helmet, you can see a recess there and that secures it really really well in place. So once you fit that back in, fit the Bob Pro through and then just pull it nice and tight

 don't have to do it too much and then it's secured in place so it's gonna keep the camera safe. But I like the feature because it's removable so if you're not into filming any of the action camera side of it you can take it off, but then if you want to do that later on down the line of course you can stick it back on. So it's a good feature and it comes our standard. but imagine if you were to break this though, you would have to go to Bell direct because it is a very unique Mart and there's probably other ways that you can get around it but the one to fit this particular helmet you would have to buy separately because I haven't seen this one anywhere else

 So I've arrived up a trail I Don't want the chin guard on so you're gonna get to see how this looks on my head with it removed. we do the clips. they're nice and easy. just free clips

 About three months ago in the UK I'll link it in the description I got it from Evan cycles and that was a good deal at the time. so it's about 50 pounds saved on this particular helmet hence the reason shopping around. but it's the full face helmet with the removable chin guard and that's exactly what I was after. So I can take it in the van, go to the bike park I've got the option to put it on

Bell Super 3r MIPS Review 2018 - Awesome Helmet

I'm looking to buy a full face helmet. I ride jumps &amp; tech but also do alot of climbing. Does anyone have any recommendations and is there any nice helmets under 200 U.S.D?

  Vents are huge and many of them, doesnt give me instant heatstroke which is a bonus.  Despite having to go large with the fit it doesnt look to bad while wearing, its pretty compact (wish id gotten to keep the medium size as that was much more streamlined)  Cheekpads are totally comfortable and have an adjustment layer. Im skinny and had to take the extra layer out, not sure what sort of face would use that extra padding. A jawless one maybe :/  This is a critical review but im a stickler for finish on bike parts, the market cuts corners all over the place and charges a lot of money these days

 Its not downhill certified but honestly i think my neck would snap before my chin or face took any real damage.  I would like to see some mesh on the vents to keep the bugs out and sun off my noggin, again a personal preference but not a great expense to them to apply.  Chinstrap and earloops are good, the clamps on them dont slip about like the met helmet i own, and its totally comfortable with exeption of the clamp sitting right in my throat when tightened up. It should be to the side slightly for comfort

 Add to that the padding, its not built for the mips layer and causes some discomfort. Aaand the temple pads that you get on the super 2r and i assume the non mips 3r are not present, mix that up with the more rounded shape and it leaves the helmet wobbling side to side badly. O and the rear dial section with its plastic pressure points hurts my skull, needs padding too, the plastic flexes but is not comfortable with a shaven head.(cutting up a shoe insole to make pads for that part, free pro tip :p)

Ok so after a sizing issue (they've ditched the oval headshape they usually use and gone for a more rounded profile, if your ovalized and are within a couple of cm you may want to go up a size) ive gotten my second one. First (medium and too tight on the forehead, i measured 57 around) was really awesome quality but this one had molding foam badly cut and melted into the ports, so i have to cut that away or its a pain to get the chinbar on and off, sometimes it feels attached properly but is not flush. Not a problem with the first item.  Also not impressed with the way they slapped mips into it, the mips covers some front ports along the browline, and is poorly fitted against the vents, its also not truly aligned which plays with my product design ocd lol

 Um, so I did a little bit of research and eventually I landed on this 2019 Bell Super 3r with Mips. I paid about 225 bucks for it on Amazon and I've been riding with it for about two months now, so I decided it's probably a good time to go and give you guys a review. so let's do it. So the first thing that I was concerned about when I was shopping for my first full face helmet was comfort

 Back here. we got the little dial. just get it nice and snug so I'll go ahead and put my glasses on. You guys can get an idea of what it looks like

 And so one thing that I haven't mentioned is this is a convertible helmet. meaning you can remove the chin bar here so I'll show you guys real quick how that comes off. Just pop that clip open here in the back and there's one on each side as well and then it kind of just slides off like that. Pop that open there we go

Can anyone recommended me any mtb helmets with detachable chin please?

 It didn't inspire a lot of confidence and that was the whole point of getting a full faced option helmet. Issue #4> Not fully DH certified. I am not a crazy hucker sending it off every huge jump and drop, however, both the Fox and Gire are DH certified and I do enough drops and steeps that it is a concern.  In short, Bell probably needs an XL option for this helmet which would be more comfortable for people who fit the circumference of the large, but suffer from the aforementioned issues

 I was pretty surprised by this considering how well the helmet fit the circumference of my head. Both the Fox and Giro extended down significantly further providing better protection. Issue #3> the helmet was far too easy to rotate up (basically think of my ear as an rotational axis), which would leave my jaw quite exposed in the right type of crash. Because of Issue #1, tightening the strap mercilessly tight wasn't really an option

Bought this along with the Fox ProFrame and Giro Switchblade. Full disclosure, I have a huge noggin'. Most of my issues are with the fit of the helmet. I ride all types of trails, but live at a resort offers downhill biking in the summer, which was the motivation for the purchase of a full faced helmet

Venting was awesome, and the adjustable fit system was excellent

Helmet: Bell Super 3R MIPS - removable face guard, not DH rated but only because the total area of the vents, tests showed the face guard to flex and deflect impacts instead of cracking or shattering like many others. Comes with a gopro mount. Headlight: Lumintop B01 - removable battery, USB recharging, 2 hour runtime at 476lm or just shy of 6hrs at 250lm, double those runtimes if you pick up a 5000mAh battery instead of using the 2600mAh 18650 that comes with it, has a nice pattern & warm white color temp, good mount, low price & respected flashlight brand, more like a regular flashlight in form factor but bike specific beam pattern.

another thing is elbow/knee pads and gloves, i have been told gloves are a must on riding e bikes for several reasons, any gloves people recommend? full gloves or fingerless? remember this is mostly a commuter bike for me so less looking like i am gonna be doing bmx tricks more looking like i am a responsible adult trying to not tear my hands to crap in case of a pothole or an idiot not paying attention to cyclists on the road please :)

helmet and accessories for my new e bike

 My son, also well within the small size, is stuck in between a small and a medium. The piece is too tight around his face on the small, but the medium doesn't size down enough to fit his small sized head to allow for a comfortable full face experience. Both mine and his were returned. I might be able to move into a medium and it will work ok

honestly, I'd just look into one of the new full time full faces that are extremely well ventilated. 

 I contacted the company and they sent another one. Awesome. Only to find that it is a Bell defect. The new one in the bag from Bell, doesn’t have the nut either

The helmet is nice. Good fit. I like the versatility of being able to take the front shield off. Only problem is if you want to attach a camera, the mount doesn’t have the nut for the screw
