5 millisecond average puts it well in the territory of VA and IPS displays, but without the benefit of those panels like increased contrast ratios and superior viewing angles. Transitions were within the 16.7 millisecond refresh rate window, but the results are still very disappointing. For a TN panel, it gets even worse when you factor in the input lag

 It does support freesync, but the refresh rate range is just 40 to 60 Hertz so it doesn't support low framerate compensation, which is a bit disappointing. Ben Q Also makes a big deal about this panel supporting HDR and specifically HDR 10, but well. I Guess we'll talk about HDR later. But while the VP2768 holds onto its Editors' Choice as a midrange monitor, the EL2870U should appeal to those seeking a reasonably priced high-resolution monitor that can handle motion in videos or games, especially PC gamers who own a FreeSync-compatible AMD video card.

Color accuracy out of the box was passable. As shown on the sRGB chromaticity chart below, when tested with an SDR (non-HDR, or standard dynamic range) signal in sRGB mode, my blue color measurement (represented by the colored dot) is closely aligned with its ideal CIE coordinates (represented by the box) and the green point is reasonably close, while the red is not as well aligned.

The design is similar to those of several other BenQ monitors we have reviewed, including the BenQ EW3270U and the BenQ BL3201PH. The EL2870U's look is simple and understated, with a matte-black cabinet with half-inch bezels, and a stand that can tilt but doesn't offer height, swivel, or pivot adjustments.  For a game like this, I think the 4k visual fidelity is a much better option personally because framerate's just not quite as important for racing games. With that being said, you still get 60 hertz on this monitor so you're able to see 60 Fps plus in all of those titles, which is always great to see. Make sure as well, of course that if you gave in on this Benq monitor that you've got a powerful system that can deliver 60 frames a second or above at that high 4k resolution Hdr in this scene really paying dividends where you've got a really bright part of the image and then a much darker part inside the tunnel. Visually though, dirt looks great even if my driving abilities are not quite up to scratch this afternoon

 It's an ultra Hd 4k panel with the latest Hdr support and a 60 hertz refresh rate. We're going to cover off the unboxing, get the monitor built up onto the stand, and then try the monitor out to see what kind of viewing angles and color reproduction we're able to get with this stunning Hdr panel.  Now what that means is that you are gonna have really, really awesome response times. an input lag like I said before, That's what these TN panels are about. They're for hardcore gamers. This is a free sync monitor, so it does benefit people who have PlayStation 4 pros, Xbox one exes and AMD processors and their PCs So ultimately, this is really geared towards your fast-paced gamer

 Truly, this is just a supreme design. I Think I think they've done really well with it and I like the way that it looks in a premier gaming setup. I Think it looks really professional now. Functionality: I Do wish it would have come with a height adjustable mount, at least for the price that you're paying

 I Think that's an Some feature and you don't see that in a lot of monitors. so props to BenQ for adding that in. I Want to take a second and appreciate just the design and the features that they've put in. Overall, this is such a clean looking monitor

BenQ EL2870U REVIEW | BEST 4K Freesync Gaming Monitor Under $500

 The size is great. The feature set is solid with multiple ports (I only need one but whatever) and USB 3.1c hub (sans some of the more extreme features like a SD card slot). FRC is nice, although it only supports 40hz-60hz meaning not an extreme range but still welcome
