Travelers and car campers will rejoice when discovering the Big Agnes Big Six chair. The spacious seat is wide and tall and offers a high enough back for a headrest, a feature not found on any other chair this compact and lightweight. Its size is enormous for the small 5.5" x 5.5" x 21.5" bundle it makes when packed up, and the comfort it offers may even cause you to take a catnap. While this is too heavy for most backpacking endeavors, the comfort and small packed size make it perfect for those that travel or dwell in a van, truck, or small RV.
We found the hubless pole design on the Big Six to be great for reducing bulk and increasing stability, but it does mean the setup requires a bit more focus than poles that spring into place mostly on their own. The Big Six doesn't neatly fall into the backpacking chair category for us because it's so heavy that most hikers aren't going to be willing to schlepp it into the mountains, but then again, it is small enough when packed up to strap to a bag, so maybe some will want to take it on.

Not exactly as advertised

Decent chair but I had to return them as they were a little small and couldn't get around a $149 price tag for a chair made in China. If it was made in the USA maybe, but I feel this should be a $74.99 chair.

 A cheap folding camp chairs from Wal-mart wasn't going to cut it.  My Requirements: (Top Priorities to Mindful Considerations) 1. Comfort; Majority of time was sitting around a campfire. Needed to be comfortable for a long sit

 I wanted a heavy-duty chair that wouldn't buckle under continual sitting, slouching and standing stress. Needed more than a 225 lbs capacity. I required metal legs instead of cheap fiberglass poles held together my a single screw. All poles are tethered together with heavy bungee cords for easy setup

 Design works like a sling for your butt. High backrest relieves stress on the lower back. Just tall enough to rest your head back without it dangling off the back.  - Construction was beyond solid

 Then I found the Big Agnes. Comfortable, rolls up smaller than the Helinox but is of course longer. This is an excellent chair and I have now bought another for my brother as a gift and my buddy who took the knock off model wants one of these. Worth the money in my opinion

 Folds up smaller around than the shorter helinox, just longer, but still easy to transport and is very comfortable. It is worth the expense in my opinion. Six stars :)

Excellent!

 All the cheaper knockoffs, many you see breaking early. I'm 6'-4" 250 lb male and this chair is comfortable and safe for me to sit in. If you are big in the butt and especially the legs it may not be as comfortable, but I think in that case you will struggle with all of these light chairs. Wife is 5'-4" 150 and it's pretty comfy for her too

Well made and fits my 6'5", 240 lb. frame very nicely and provides a comfortable sit! I really enjoy that I can relax in it as it doesn't feel like it will collapse at any second. Very stable and easy to set-up. Love Big Agnes gear!
