 You can see it's at about 50% So micro USB rechargeable and what they've done is they've actually integrated the cable here into the band So not only does that make it more comfortable, but then you don't have all those extra cables and wires Hanging on the outside of the lamp. Another nice thing about this headlamp Is that it has both spot and flood plus a red light and plus a strobe they call it I call it more of a beacon but very easy to operate you simply just keep hitting the on button till it goes to the Mode that you'd like it to stay at it does have memory So it's gonna memorize the the last mode that you had it on the only complaint that I have with the operation is that the on off button can be a little bit tricky because that's also Where you're gonna adjust the light move it down and up Of course so that you can focus more on maybe a book that you're reading or focus more in front of you So you want to tilt that down? It can become just a little bit difficult to activate that mode and the switch modes without adjusting this So it doesn't really bother me. It may bother some people.  Really, really cool. So is true for our Headlamp 330 here. Before we open the box, let's talk some features. Okay, right on the back, you can see that we've got a white spotlight, a white floodlight, a dimming feature, a red floodlight, it's pretty cool, white strobe light, a lockout and a lens tilt, cool, it's IPX rated 4, okay, IPX 4, that's your waterproof rating, very good

5 hours on high, very cool, very important and it's brightness, you got 5 lumens on low, 330 lumens on high, excellent, 3D slim fit construction, it is so comfortable, you will forget you're wearing it, excellent. BioLite HeadLamp 330

This is a good headlamp I forget I'm wearing it sometimes it's so comfortable. Battery life is acceptable for a headlamp. What I cant forgive them for is that this headlamp will auto dim slowly over the course of 15min to half brightness and you have to manually turn it back up to full brightness. It dims so slowly it's almost imperceptible until find yourself needing more light

Why does it auto dim.

 It's a little trickier. You got to push it twice. You want a different light? You got to push it three times. Ready? Four times

 Like I don't feel like it's squeezing my noggin. It's very smooth on my head. It doesn't feel heavy. It's fairly light

BioLite HeadLamp 330 - No-Bounce Rechargeable Head Light

I really love this headlamp but gave it 3 stars because it is not designed for small heads. I wish the light itself allowed for a more flexible curve against the forehead. It is too rigid and or not curved enough for my anatomy. Also once I adjust the strap to fit tight to my small head, the plastic adjustment pieces and the cord connecting the battery pack to the light itself rub the backs of my ears which is frustrating and disappointing

 The bit on the front of your head is actually super lightweight and super thin as you can see. You can adjust the angle so if you need to look right down by your feet if you're walking you can do, if you're maybe running at night you can bring the angle up and then it's easily done with one finger like that forward and back and it's very positive, it holds in that angle really easily. The button to turn it on, I'll face it away, is on top and you've got basically three modes of light, you can see there's a kind of diffuse light here which would be good for up close and then you've got a second mode, there you go, with a flood as well so that's your kind of maximum brightness, so you've got a distance beam as well as an up close beam, please mind the turkeys who seem to be going past me at the moment, and then you've also got a strobe option and a red option he said, there you go, there's the strobe and there's the red. So you've also got a red which is really good for night vision and the strobe and the red I think are quite good for emergency situations as well

It says that it's 330 lumens but I can tell you it just seems brighter than that, I think lumens is sometimes a bit subjective but I have a Petzornayo that's 900 lumens and this is pretty close in brightness, from a battery point of view if you run it on the lowest with just the diffuse it's up to 40 hours so if you're out for a few days that's perfectly fine for bimbling around camp but if you've got it on full power it lasts, I found it lasted about 3 hours on full power before it needed a charge which is still pretty impressive for a unit that is this small and light on your forehead. This is without a doubt the lightest headlamp I've ever used, I just don't notice it's on my head at all and it's got a really nice sweatband that sort of wicks sweat away from you a little bit as well, I tend to be quite a sweaty person and then from a recharging point of view it's a micro USB at the back, there's a little rubber bit that you pull back for recharging, I timed it, there's a little charging light there, I think it took about an hour, just over an hour to go from pretty much empty to pretty much full so it doesn't take too long to charge it up as well and it has the IPX rating that it's pretty good, you know I'd happily use this in heavy rain and I don't think I'd have a problem, I don't think I'd stick it literally under water but I think in even heavy rain or the worst weather you can possibly find this would do absolutely fine

 So here's a quick look at the BioLite 330 head torch, what you've got here is a super super lightweight system, I think it comes in at under 3oz which is pretty awesome. The first mistake I made when I got it out of the box was I kept looking at the battery bit at the back, I couldn't find where the lamp was and then I realised that this was actually the battery section at the back so don't make the same mistake as I did. The bit on the front of your head is actually super lightweight and super thin as you can see. You can adjust the angle so if you need to look right down by your feet if you're walking you can do, if you're maybe running at night you can bring the angle up and then it's easily done with one finger like that forward and back and it's very positive, it holds in that angle really easily

Biolite 330 Headlamp review

Stopped working won’t hold charge

 So it is splash proof but not waterproof. So if you go to areas where you expect a lot of rain, then buy a different headlamp with an IPX8 rating. But the baddest thing is basically the button, the on off button and the button that changes through all the light modes. Because it is just too tiny, especially with cold hands it is very very impractical

95 in euros. The same in dollars and it is 49.99 in pounds. And I think that is a little bit on the high side for a headlamp with these features

 I've been playing with it for, well ever since, since basically November and when I wrote the review last week, I was checking some data on the BioLite website and I discovered that the BioLite Headlamp 330 was already released at the end of 2018. Well now, well maybe I've been sleeping, maybe the press agency in the Netherlands has been sleeping or it's just being launched late in Europe or the Netherlands. I don't have a clue and it doesn't matter because I still think the review on the 330 is really, really worth it. Now let's continue with all the details on the BioLite Headlamp 330 and first let me switch up the light because otherwise it might run out
