I recently purchased this because I lost my old Black Diamond COSMO headlight. Overall, I am really pleased with this one. Black Diamond's update to their headlight series has made them much easier to use. The second button, plus the Power Tap and battery meter are great additions

Hello fellow flashlight connoisseurs, I have recently gotten pretty into stealth camping but realized I don't have an easy way to navigate in the dark without being blindingly obvious. 

I've read quite a lot about this topic and turns out one of the best options is to get a headlamp that has a red floodlight because red is less noticeable to a human eye than white.

I would like this headlamp to also have a relatively bright white light function as well, but red light is a must.

Other features are nice but not nessicary (ie. Rechargeable, power levels, waterproof). Price isn't really an issue either. I'm a strong believer in you get what you pay for and I want this to last.

Stealth camping headlamp recommendations

Great headlamp

Overall Great lamp!

Feeling pretty excited to see what the Spot 350 could do, I start hitting the top button and "toggle" through the settings:

Let me preface by saying I got this headlamp a couple weekends ago right before a camping trip to Dutch John. 

-Red light: I was really pleased with this feature, as it worked well with a lot of bugs around. I feel like some red lights I've used before weren't powerful enough to see beyond your hand, but this did the trick.
