Sadly KraveBeauty discontinued their Beet the Sun  sunscreen, but hopefully they’ll recreate it cause a few friends loved it.

SuperGoop! Glow Oil, SPF 50. Sold at Sephora, pricier but my friends LOVE this product because of how invisible it is on their skin. It’s also great for folks with very sensitive skin. 

Black Girl Sunscreen, SPF 30&45. Sold at Target, apparently the packaging isn’t great but the product itself is.

I got this because the kind I usually get was out of stock. I have oily skin so it’s really just ok for me (since it makes me look extremely greasy) it’s unscented and I didn’t experience any breakouts, this would probably be perfect for someone with dry skin.

Black Girl Sunscreen REVIEW and DEMO! Black Girl Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30

When I started my routine I focussed initially on repairing my moisture barrier. I found a lot of my sensitivities went away or were greatly reduced after spending a week "slugging". I would wet my face at night and apply vaseline on top. Vaseline is made up of a single petroleum molecule so it's very very rare to cause an allergic or sensitivity reaction, plus the physical size of the molecule is too big to get into pores and cause blockages/zits

It's a great way to repair skin to prepare it for additional interventions.

After I had repaired my barrier I was able to add some simple moisturizers that had irritated me before. Now I use Vanicream, a cetaphil foaming cleanser, Black Girl Sunscreen in the morning, and "Buffet" from The Ordinary. I added these all very very slowly, giving a week or two weeks between them. 

I have very sensitive skin and it sounds like you might also have sensitive skin. It's tempting to try and throw money and products at the problem to fix it immediately but I really strongly recommend going slow and fixing your barrier with vaseline to start.

I tried **Supergoop** but it caused closed comedones on my cheeks (which fortunately went away after stopping use). And **Black Girl Sunscreen** was way too oily for me.  As a Latina with a medium skin tone, I also dread the white cast. I also have *very* sensitive skin and being in the sun without adequate protection will cause my skin to get all kinds of irritated and inflamed. Here are some products that are melanin friendly!! 

* Unseen sunscreen from Supergoop! - a beauty community favourite. A little pricy especially if you are outside of the US, but seems to work wonders. I have never used this myself. 

Hey OP! First off, I apologize on behalf of the rude person above. I _strongly_ recommend that you wear sunscreen at all times. As a Latina with a medium skin tone, I also dread the white cast. * NARS pure radiant tinted moisturizer - a tinted moisturizer with subtle coverage and very reasonable SPF. Also pricey, but NARS has an amazing, diverse selection of shades (in all of their makeup, really); and most people are bound to find a compatible match within their shade range. I use this myself and love it for an everyday cute AND sun safe look. 

Basically my skin dies when the sun comes out lol. I get heat rashes all over my face and nothing a do seems to work until summer finally ends and my skin clears up. I know I should use sunscreen which I do use just not outside because I’m black and most sunscreens leave that horrible white cast all over my face. I know I can get clear sunscreen but they’re harder to find and not cheap. So other than sunscreen, what can I do to protect my skin in the summer?
