 For the face, it says to use a half of a teaspoon for the face and neck. So here's a bottle. It does say that it turns blue in harmful UV light. Mine has a light blue tint to it right now

It's genius I Also did forget to mention that this is titanium. dioxide. at five percent in zinc oxide, ten percent

Blue Lizard Sunscreen Review - Sensitive SPF 30

There are definitely people who go this route. Sensitive skin formulations will have less risk of irritation. The only problem is body sunscreens might have less “cosmetic elegance”—they will leave more white cast, leave you more greasy/shiny, or feel thick / drying.

I have used both Coppertone sensitive skin spf50 on my face and Blue Lizard sensitive spf30 on my face without breaking out. But I was on a boat and didn’t know/care what I looked like. You may have to experiment a bit.

Is there any body lotion SPF that wouldn't break out my face? I know I should just buy regular facial serum SPF, but the bottles are too small for me. I don't have much money, and I can't pay 10-13 for a tiny 4-5 oz bottle that won't last long. I have a huge fear of skin cancer, so I really need the SPF, plus I have some skin issues that get worse from the sun. I tried using some random one I had here but it caused my skin to become bumpy across my nose and forehead. 

Please don't judge too harshly...I just want to be safe but not waste my money.

(To clarify, I mean regular spf for the body that wouldn't hurt to use on the face as well.)

 And then as far as ingredients that I want to highlight within this formulation, honestly, there aren't really any that really stand out to me or are worth calling out individually. This does have vitamin A in it. Vitamin E is a great antioxidant for the skin, but it's the third to last ingredient so it probably doesn't have that much vitamin E within this formulation to make it really no worthy if you know what I mean. So not really anything in here that I want to call out, but that's not a bad thing that doesn't mean that the ingredients are bad, it's just that there's nothing spectacular

 The good news is that not only is this fragrance free and essential oil free, but there are no known irritants or skin sensitizers within this specific formulation. So even though we aren't getting anything incredible, we're also not having any issues as far as those sensitizing ingredients goes that we can often find and other sunscreen. So of course that doesn't mean that this won't irritate your skin when I call that out specifically.3 percent zinc oxide

 Nothing that's known to help to improve your overall complexion, reduce the appearance of pores, help to control oil is nothing like that, so pretty strict back in that sense, which again, could be a good thing if you have sensitive, but I feel like that kind of defeats the purpose when there are chemical filters added to it. The formulation of this one is really nice. It still does kind of give me traditional sunscreen vibes if you will, but it's definitely the lightest weight of these three. so lighter weight than blue lizard, lighter weight than copper tone, and doesn't have that sticky feel that the Coppertone sunscreen has

 Extremely noteworthy. From an ingredient label standpoint, this does have caprylic, triglycerides and glycerin in it, which are two really nice hydrating ingredients for the skin. But other than that, there's nothing to really call out. No antioxidants within this formulation

Hi guys!

As the weather starts to warm up and summer approaches, I am looking forward to lots of fun days at the beach. I love surfing, particularly, however I am also very careful about sun protection when it comes to my skin. I usually wear UPF clothing, hats, glasses, gloves and SPF in my day-to-day. When just chilling at the beach (and not surfing) I also have the option of staying in shady spots/tent/under an umbrella.

When surfing, though, I can't exactly hide in the shade or wear most of my UPF clothing. I do wear a sun protective rash guard, as well as a hat and lots of SPF. Yet, even with regular reapplying (after getting out of the water or at least every two hours), I still come home to find new freckles on my skin. What gives?

I don't mind the look of freckles (I think they're cute) however the SkinCareAddict in me knows that they are a sign of sun damage and future aging. I usually use Neutrogena's Sheer Zinc Mineral Sunscreen, which has an SPF of 50; 21.6% zinc oxide. Also, I've heard that this particular sunscreen has a pretty good PPD rating, however I'm not sure if that has changed(?). I do live in Hawai'i, and I am pretty cautious about using chemical sunscreens as I do not want to harm the coral/marine ecosystem.

Any advice from fellow outdoors people? Do I need to find a new mineral sunscreen? I do not want to quit surfing because I am getting sun, yet at the same time, I do really want to protect my skin. I've worked so hard to get it to its current clarity.

tl;dr: Basically, I love surfing, but also love protecting my skin from the sun. It seems like no matter how much sunscreen I slather on, I still emerge from the beach with new freckles aka sun damage. I never burn, however I do not want to risk skin damage/again.

The sunscreen didn't rub into our skin very well. Also, anything that it came in contact with after we applied it had a blue sheen on the surface.

 Not what I was expecting at all from consistency. Oh wow. Um, it looks very runny so this should be very interesting. Is there no fragrance on? this contains no fragrance? Okay, so that makes sense because it does say for sensitive skin so I love that And it doesn't have a weird smell

 Therefore, I'm frequently bullied for my sun care habits. People will say things like jake, it's cloudy today, You don't need to wear sunscreen. And to those people, I say actually the sun's rays penetrate the clouds. Where was I going with this? Oh, if this product works as advertised, I will have a way to prove this

 I can kind of see the fingerprints on my phone, but overall I think that this is a pretty good mineral sunscreen. If you're concerned about application or white cast, you can be the judge of what you think that looks like. I think that this would be a really good beach sunscreen. I'm not sure I would use this as my everyday sunscreen, but overall I think it's pretty good

Shout out to blue lizard 🦎 just started using it and I'm hooked. On a side note if you're looking for non greasy sunscreen you might wanna check out La Roche Posay's cool gel sunscreen. It's next on my list
