I purchased a showcase home and was impressed with the Bosch kitchen appliance package that was included with my new home. Within two weeks of using the stove, our teapot melted on the stove when accidentally left unattended. OK, this was our bad and no fault of Bosch, but we were surprised how powerful this stove is that it could melt a teapot! Several months later we noticed the two large front burners started to get discolored and cannot be scoured, cleaned or scrapped with a razor blade to return it to it's original finish. We have lived with a white char marks on the stove ever since

 Far better choices out there than this stove, do your research and stay away from Bosch.

  We have a 2nd residence which we purchased a Samsung glass top slide in stove for. We have not had any issues with the glass discoloring, chipping, cracking or overheating of the elements. I don't normally write reviews for products, but the $600.00 price tag to replace this stove top was my motivation

 Better, but smear residue was still apparent. The manual said to use the razor blade/holder which came as an accessory. Yes. I scraped and scraped, and finally every inch of the cooktop was clean and shiny, after about 1 1/2 hours of scrubbing

 I'm guessing some oily foods such as olive and grape oils got sort of baked into the glass cooktop, and the top was left with big smears that would not scrub off with the daily cleaner. So I ordered Weiman's heavy duty cooktop cleaner plus scrubbing pad on Amazon. Better, but smear residue was still apparent. The manual said to use the razor blade/holder which came as an accessory

 This was about six months ago, and fast-forward to today - the same mess happened!! My fault for not carefully cleaning after each use, but I just now spent over an hour with white vinegar, Weiman's heavy duty cleaner, and a damn razor blade to restore the perfect look. Giant, annoying hassle!! I don't know if this is a Bosch quirk or if it's true of all electric cooktops, but who has time for this type of unpleasant task?? True, we have sloppy cooks in my house, but sheesh!

 Then the oven door repeatedly LOCKED w/Error Code E115 displayed. One large cooktop burner does not regulate itself well & stays so HOT that it has a gray/whitish ring now that won't go away. My GE PROFILE Range cooktop NEVER did this. When I contacted BOSCH they said it was a temperature regulation issue & I needed a BOSCH Certified technician to evaluate the issue

ANOTHER TRUE Story about this same BOSCH model HEI8054U

 The stove top worked and the and oven seemed to work, if I could press the buttons in correct order. but there was no way to see what oven temperature was being set. I wanted to replace the part on my own, but being not sure what the issue was I ended up paying $300 for a $140 part.  A month later, the other computer board inside broke, which I'm can't seem to figure out the part number and plan to be twice the prince of the display unit I replaced

Don't buy any Bosch appliances.  Internal /external parts will break. Cheap stainless

So far it works very well. Have used the oven for warming already cooked foods and for baking. The cook top works super well. I clean it every day with Cerama Bryte

Remember to wipe down the inside of the oven and run it at 350 for 30 minutes before using

 According to the installers, sparks flew out of the stove when it was plugged in. I heard the noise but did not see where the sparks came from. The stove control panel was still working so the installers continued with the installation. Later, when I went to use the stove, two burners were not working

 At time of delivery, the following issues were evident: 1) bubbles in the control panel finish 2) warped glass stove top and warped metal trim (photos attached). I needed a stove, and given the concerns with possibly damaging the counter top further, it was decided to repair the second stove rather than replace it. Numerous phone calls and emails later (weeks would go by with no response from Bosch Customer Service US), arrangements were made for a service technician to complete the repairs. In the meantime, I realized the oven fan was not working properly

 I also realized the installers had installed the stove so it was resting on my quartz countertop (which it should not because the stove weighs about 250 lbs). The countertop was damaged in about four places as a result. Lowe's is responsible for the countertop (still unresolved) and Bosch arranged for a stove replacement.  Second stove: The replacement stove was delivered and installed by Lowe's in November 2015

 I cook a lot of pizzas on pizza stone and using the pizza function on this stove it cooks at a lower temp (400) for a longer time but the results are excellent- crispy crust without even pre-heating the stone first! I did not have any loud fan noise as others have posted as well. Simply put, this stove performs and looks great!

I did not have any of the problems posted by other reviewers. This stove looks wonderful and performs flawlessly. The glass quality is German made and second to none. The only issue I have is that the back of the stove stainless vent does not extend to the very end like the glass top, thus exposing a gap in your counter on each side! This is a bad design, hopefully Bosch will correct with the next model as other reviewers say the same thing! The warming drawer was broken upon delivery but was replaced by the vendor with a new one

Nice Range- But widen the stainless vent in the back!

 Stoves are supposed to last for years. Not worth spending extra for the Bosch name. I used to like the brand.
