How do you perfectly toast any slice no matter what type of bread? Add an extra 30 seconds for well that little bit more. The Breville BTA720XL Bit More toaster also features a 'Lift & Look' Lever which raises and lowers the carriage to show the browning progress without interrupting the toasting cycle. Additionally, the high lift feature raises the carriage approximately a 1/2 inch making it easier to remove smaller items such as English Muffins.

 You know what I'm talking about, uneven heating. Some areas of the plate glow red other areas appear to not heat at all. Still it does a fare job of evenly toasting but there is another annoying thing purposely designed into it. No matter the setting each slot has a hot side and a not so hot side

 FYI: I once purchased a commercial $600 toaster and it was not much better than the throw-a-way toasters. Most of my toasters don't last past a year before they just can't toast at all so the verdict is still out on this one. For now my ratings stand. If it lasts a year I would buy another and increase my ratings

 This is personal opinion but the countdown timer lights are a total waste of resources. I don't care what stage of cooking the bread is in I'm not in that big a hurry and besides can't hurry it anyway. The tone when the toast pops is nice but the actually pop sound is much louder. The cleaning tray is a joke I have to walk the whole thing to the sink and shake it out

Died at 2 months; not so special

Worked great at first and then .....

 If you try to increase the toast level, they’ll just burn. Having to send it back and resume using our old toaster oven, which handles frozen waffles perfectly.

The toaster looks nice and does a perfect job with bagels. However, our main need/use is heating up frozen waffles every AM. It can’t even handle my regular ol’ thin waffles with its “frozen” setting, leaving them mealy in the middle. It totally fails with my wife’s thicker waffles
