 The manual has more WARNING! notes than useable information. I had to go to YouTube videos to understand how to use it. The automatic bobbin thread cutter leaves the end so short it is difficult to pull out. Although you are supposed to be able not to need to pull it up through, I prefer to have the bobbin thread with the needle thread before I begin sewing

The main problem is the bobbin does not ever rewind correctly, the thread is not wound evenly. I bought this machine mainly because I had a Brother machine that I was replacing and wanted a machine that I could use the bobbins that I had already filled. I also wanted the needle threader again.

 At first, I bought a cheap machine hoping not to spend too much money before I knew what I really wanted. Unfortunately that one broke the instant I turned it on, didn't even get to sew a single stitch. Sent it back, got one a little more expensive and it broke on stitch number 4. After some research I learned that it wasn't my lack of knowledge or experience but the machines themselves so I decided to splurge a little and went with this machine the Brother CS5055
