I think that’s probably your best option. I have the Brother HL-L2370DW ($129). It’s essentially the same as the 2350, but includes an Ethernet port. I’m very happy with it.

However, it excels at what it's designed to do, which is print plain documents in black and white, quickly and affordably. It uses a single black toner cartridge with a remarkably high page yield. The cartridges aren't too expensive either, so the cost-per-print is outstandingly low

Brother monochrome laser printers are nice. The cheapest model (HL-L2300D) retails for $100. For $120 you can get an almost identical model that connects wirelessly (HL-L2350DW). For $130 you get wireless and an Ethernet port (HL-L2370DW).

That said, it's an excellent choice if you need a cheap option for black and white printing, and it's also among the best laser printers we've tested.

I have a Brother HL-L2370DW. It’s a simple mono laser printer that will meet your needs if you can live without a ‘traditional’ scanner. I like mine a lot. (The Brother HL-L2350DW is essentially the same, but without an Ethernet port.).

Overall, this is a great laser printer to consider if you have a very small budget and don't need a scanner.

I did a lot of research on mono laser printers this past year. By the end of that process I was choosing between a few models from Brother. I ultimately purchased the Brother HL-L2370DW ($129). So far I love it.
