Now, the first boards I thought of, when reading your post, are the **Burton Custom X**, **Yes Optimistic**, and the **United Shapes Orbit**. Add the **Arbor A-frame** to that list. These are aggressive, hard charging boards, with full camber. The kind of boards that, if you ride them while tired or trying to be lazy, will fling you onto your ass and give you a concussion before you even notice.

Picked it back up this year after moving to Michigan and getting lessons for my son (were gonna get him ski lessons next year to see if he likes it better). Borrowed my brother's Burton Custom X 162w for my re-intro into it and didn't have much trouble. Stiffer than I like but was like riding a bike. I still have balance and a good feel for it (probably the surfing and generally being really coordinated).

I suggest a wide camber board. Like the nitro team pro or burton custom x. Get a wide version so you have the least toe drag possible. There is a reason you see pros riding mostly camber directional twin or true twin boards on hard snow and jumps.
