Burton Stylus vs Rossignol Gala for Beginner?

I did some research and stumbled upon the Burton stylus, but I think it might be way too soft for my personal enjoyment, so I'm going for more of a soft-medium flex board, maybe like a 4-4.5 would be nice. I also came across the Capita space metal fantasy, seems like a good board overall for my personal needs but I'm worried I might grow out of it way too quickly.

Want to discuss current trends? Board shapes, technology? Advice picking outerwear? Need info on traveling to Revelstoke for the first time? Or question about what board you should buy? For new and experienced snowboarders with any questions at all about snowboarding including gear, learning, what to wear, where to go, what terminology is rad, etc.  Nothing is off limits!
