Cambridge Audio CXA81

(I am also going to upgrade my amp from the Marantz PM6007 to the Cambridge CXA81 very soon). Btw, the KEF‘s soundstage and imaging is wider and more precise than anything I‘ve ever heard…. As of now my setup consists of:. - KEF R5.

The Cambridge Audio CXA81 is a great integrated amp, despite the recent thrashing ASR gave it. It stays out of the way and delivers clean, unadulterated sound. I feel like I'm listening to music as the artists intended. It's a big step up from Zone 2 on my Denon X2100W, which seemed to have a little trouble driving the speakers at lower frequencies.

Rega Planar P8 with Ania Pro MC, Rega Aria Mk3, Cambridge Audio CXA81 integrated amplifier, CXNv2 network media streamer, CXC CD transport, Klipsch RP-600M speakers, and SPL-120 subwoofer. Thinking about the next upgrade as been contacted by the shop I purchased my Rega turntable that they have Klipsch Forte IVs on sale....

I'm hearing things I couldn't before and even my wife who couldnt care less about equipment was blown away. The first song I streamed (Frank Ocean - White Ferrari), I had no idea Bluetooth could sound so rich and deep. I cannot recommend the Cambridge Audio CXA81 enough, the build quality is like nothing I've had the pleasure of touching.

The as701 had gobs of power put the treble response was to much for my ears. I ended up with a Cambridge Audio cxa81 and it is a much better pairing with the rp160m. The Marantz pm8006 was also great with the rp160m. All that said, I’d look at the Cambridge amps for a more balanced presentation with Klipsch speakers.
