I was looking for a really light daypack to carry with me on a week long backpacking trip.  The weight listed for this item does not include the hydration reservoir which is not stated in the description. I ultimately did not use this pack on my trip because I already owned one that was lighter than this pack.

This bag is very light and roomy but the bladder is temperamental. It leaked all over my belongings inside including a Prada bag because we were going to Art Basel later. Everything was soaked.

But when I tried to exchange this pack to my local REI (Bend, OR) for a similar Gregory or Osprey pack, they refused to exchange/refund it since I had purchased it 13 months prior.  Yes, I was just ONE month past the 1 year "100% guarantee" timeline, yet REI wouldn't budge!  I remember the days when REI had a "LIFETIME guarantee" on purchases and would accept nearly ANY items for return for any time period (especially due to product defects).  It was the reason I joined the co-op in the first place and made all my purchases for outdoor equipment at REI (even though their prices tend to be higher than other retailers/online).  365 days doesn't seem long enough to completely vet some purchases

First, I'll never buy a CamelBak reservoir product again. I've been hiking/backpacking for over 4 decades, and have purchases a few hydration systems in my time, but CamelBak bladder have always given me problems. While almost all hydro bladders will eventually fail/leak, CamelBak bladders always seem to develop leaks much sooner rather than later. Well, this bladder leaked after only 3 or 4 uses

 It took me about 10 minutes to readjust the lining and it fixed the problem. However, this made me think this item is not as durable as I was hoping.  The only problem for me was that by the second day of using the water reservoir (constantly) the circle lining that goes on the lid detached from the circular lid and my water leaked. This became a minor nuisance especially at a music festival when you're trying to just be on your way to the next event. It took me about 10 minutes to readjust the lining and it fixed the problem. However, this made me think this item is not as durable as I was hoping
