 Now the recoil I have to say is practically non-existent on this gun, I absolutely love how it handles the recoil, 5.2 inch barrel I think whenever it comes to the competition if you're shooting in 9mm, 5.2 inch barrel is definitely the way to go, alright let's talk about the features, grip, look at that grip, perfect size however if you are not a fan of this particular one you do get plenty of other options, well plenty would be one more so you can make it actually thicker if that's what you want, there is decent amount of aggression with the stippling, not much on the back and the front but the side does feel pretty aggressive so it's pretty good, speaking of the stippling and you know the grip and all that sort of stuff, I like the fact that Kanek implemented here as you can see at the very, might not look like a lot but if you see this stippling right here this is where your thumb goes and it is very very helpful to have a good grip, now the same thing is implemented here on the back side where it says made in Turkey right and then here as well there is a little bit of aggression going here, it kind of adds a little bit to the grip as well but this right here for your left hand thumb very important, I do like it a lot, so let's talk about the mag release, check it out, look how much it sticks out, now it is not ambidextrous, keep that in mind however this is probably the easiest mag release that I have found to operate, it's very intuitive, good amount of area to find it very quickly and just look how much it sticks out, so it's really easy to find, the same thing with the slide release, I do like it a lot, it has a very nice paddle to it where you can have your thumb resting for your grip, very very good overall and of course we have some serrations on the front of the trigger guard, helps with the you know in case if you are one of these type of people, so let me pull 5 more rounds, let's see if I can hit those paddles some more and then we will talk about the sides which I do like a lot because I love fiber optic sides and we will talk about the trigger which so far seems to be pretty good, ok so Kanik, now let's see, I have reviewed TISAS from Turkey, I think that was the only Turkish gun that I have reviewed so far, this is way better, this is the next level, Turkey is just doing pretty good when it comes to firearms, I'm surprised, alrighty, let's see, 5 out of 5, that one didn't want to turn, make sure it turns, very very easy to be good with this gun, to be accurate with this gun, honestly it's a great great gun, that's really all I can say about it, but let's come back to the features, let's go back to the sides, very good sides, your standard 3 post sides with a nice fiber optic dot at the very front, as you can see, pretty good, so very easy to aim, there is also a racked slide cocked indicator, as you can see right here and right now it's obviously cocked so now it's not, so kind of like a nice safety feature, pretty good, let's talk about the trigger, check it out, so we have our pre-trigger which is kind of a safe action system on the Glock very similar to that, not going to press the trigger unless you have your finger all the way on the pre-trigger, also serves as a safety precaution in case if you drop the gun it's not going to go off, but let's look at the trigger, alright we have about 3 millimeters of a very good very familiar travel, nothing crazy there and then crisp snap, let me try that again, so 3 millimeters of very familiar safe travel and then I'll try to be careful, maybe I can get 1 millimeter of unsure travel, alright so it's 3 millimeters and then about 1 millimeter of unsureity and then that's fantastic, I'm going to put 5 more rounds through it and then we will try to come up with a more or less reasonable conclusion there, overall I do love this gun, I see why a lot of people prefer this gun for their competition shooting, because it is so accurate, because it is so intuitive, because it is so easy to, doesn't take no effort at all, I absolutely love this gun, Kanek I'm glad I finally had a chance to review one of your guns, definitely great stuff, thank you very much guys for watching, let me know in the comments below what you think about this review, what you think about this Kanek TP9 SFX, if you have any requests drop them in the comments below I'll be happy to address them, it was Firearms of America, I'll see you guys in the next video.

 Now this particular one is the MOS model so you do have bunch of MOS adapters for whatever kind of red dot system you want to implement there but let's do some shooting and we'll see what it can do and really really excited about this one. Now Kanek apparently, originally is a Turkish brand that became very very popular here. A lot of people use this particular model in the competition shooting so it should be a pretty accurate gun. Now I have to say the magazine is very very easy to load, it is really nicely numbered here on the back as you can see, yes, says 18 here but as you can see it is extended so 20, 20, very impressive

Canik TP9SFX Review (LOVE This Canik 9mm Pistol)

 Now this test didn't begin as a thousand round torture test or longevity test or endurance test or anything like that. I mean to be honest I generally don't like running my handguns with optics because I have so many hours and so many hundreds of thousands of rounds through pistols set up with just standard iron sights that I'm just not as comfortable with an optics equipped pistol. So I decided to put a few hundred rounds through my Kanek TP9 SFX before doing a proper review of the gun. Kind of a familiarization period

 And while it's not pretty, it's not that bad either. Now note that during these strings, I saw no degradation in accuracy or reliability, and the slide never got hot enough to produce enough mirage to render the RMR's dot useless. Now in terms of accuracy, the new Kanek was very solid, with most of its 115 grain rounds producing groups around 2.9 to 3 inches at 25 feet from a bench

Canik TP9SFX 1,000-Round Review

I'm looking to replace a 1911 for my home defense pistol. I bought a .45 a long time ago when good 9mm hp was hard for civilians to get, but now that Federal HST 9mm is readily available, I'd like to get a full-size 9mm for the sake of extra ammo in one magazine.

My knowledge of pistols is limited to the few I've owned (1911's, Sig p365, ruger lcp). Here's what I need:

\- **9mm.** I love 1911's, but it's hard to argue with double the ammo without a reload. 

\- **Reliability**. If I pull the trigger it needs to go boom, every, single, time. Also, I can't have recoil springs/strikerpins/extractors/whatever failing after 500 rounds since I'll be putting at least 100 rounds a year through it. 

\- 4.25-5.5" barrel (this won't be my carry piece). 

\- **good crisp trigger that isn't heavy**. I LOVE 1911 triggers, and detest Glock's (or, at least, whatever they were using 10 years ago). I switched from carrying a Colt Combat Commander to a Sig p365 recently because I liked the trigger on the Sig enough to be willing to switch over. FWIW, the p365 is a phenomenal carry gun, and I often forget that I have it on me (appendix carry), unlike a 1911 which is stupid heavy and uncomfortable for IWB.  

\- **rail** for a surefire

\- **night sights**, or, at least the front post is a night sight. 

\-Willing to spend up to **$700** including modifications.

So, all of the above in mind, what do y'all recommend I look into? I've got a buddy who has a Canik that he loves, but I'm a little hesitant after researching them. A mete tp9 sfx looks great and has great reviews, but lots of folks who put 500+ rounds through their Caniks complain about broken striker pins, and that's no bueno. However I'm willing to get a Canik and replace the springs if necessary, since they're less expensive out of the box. 

Anything by CZ, Sig, etc that I should be looking into? I'd like to narrow my search down to a few guns before going to a local gun shop and getting my hands on them.

Help me decide on a home defense pistol to replace a 1911

I’ve got a TP9SFx, it’s a good gun for the money. It’s nothing exceptional, but I’ve never had any problems with it either.

9mm, day and night!

Solid performance

Like most Caniks, the recoil spring is a bit heavy for 115 grain out of the box; they're built for 124 grain, but handle 155 grain without malfunction after 200 rounds as a rule of thumb. I got lucky with mine, however, as it sent 115 grain down range without issue first day at the range; I have yet to have an issue after one year of service with it. This gun is reliable, exceptionally accurate, and just a pleasure to shoot. I enjoyed it so much as a first time Canik owner that I bought the Canik SF Elite as a companion gun
