I see the Canon Rebel T6 (called 1300D outside the US) in excellent condition sells for $250, give or take, on [KEH.com](https://KEH.com). You can also look at MPB or the used/refurbished section on large retailers like B&H. That's all assuming you're in a market/region where those operate, of course.

After 5 years of playing around with my Rebel T6 I think I am ready to upgrade to something more substantial as I have begun taking pictures for my company. I would be taking mostly outdoors sports shots sometimes in low light. Ive been doing some research and it looks like the 90D is generally the next step up.

A Canon Rebel T6 is an excellent starter. The best thing of a dedicated camera vs a phone is that a camera has manual settings which you can set quickly through buttons. A good phone does have manual, but it's always a bit finicky through software. For editing you can use something like , an open source DAW solution.

Im new to photography and I bought a rebel t6 and some lenses from my local pawnshop for pretty cheap. It is really slow when it comes to taking pictures. Like I click the button to take a picture and there is a significant lag, then the shutter click is very slow, then about 50% of the time it actually takes a picture. I tried searching for similar issues but all I can find is issues with the auto focus.

I’ve found the Rebel to be limiting in terms of lighting and at capturing action shots in particular. I’ve been considering jumping to a mirrorless kit like the M50 or even stepping up further in budget and going for an EOS R. However I’m not sure if at my level it would be worth jumping in price to a full frame yet, or if those are the best choices for where my Rebel is falling flat. Any advice appreciated!.
