Canon PowerShot SX70 HS

The Canon PowerShot SX70 HS only weighs 1.34lbs for the whole setup. I mostly shoot wildlife and most of the wildlife is not approachable, like grizzly bears, black bears wolves, etc. And others are really skittish like elk, antelope, wolverines. So a long reach is a must and light weight helps a lot when you are hiking around in the Rocky Mountains.

But it does lose the hot shoe, and Canon inexplicably left out a touch screen. The bright points outweigh these complaints, and we're naming the SX70 HS as our Editors' Choice, just as we did with the SX60 HS. It's a solid choice for families, backyard wildlife watchers, vacationers, and others looking for a lightweight camera with a wide zoom range, and will net very good images—as long as you work within its technical limitations

That sx70 is getting up there in size and that’ll make it much harder to want to take with you during everyday life. The g7 is super easy to just slip in a bag or pack or even holster it to your belt. The best camera is the one you got on you!!. I have the g5x mkii and I started my serious photographic journey with it.

The Canon PowerShot SX70 HS is a bridge camera with a built-in zoom lens. It has an incredibly long focal length, letting you capture everything from wide-angle landscapes to far-away subjects and close-ups. Despite its zoom lens, the camera feels lightweight and comfortable to use, with a simple menu system and decently sturdy construction

You can get a seat extender which adds a few inches, some people say it’s much more comfortable. The HS has a torque and cadence sensor, so pedaling feels very fluid and smooth.

Despite its flaws, this superzoom camera is relatively portable and still offers a lot of value for its price.
