Fat bike or a Normal MTB?

The bike is very comfortable when climbing up hills or just spinning up a fire road. I have no complaints here.

One thing that holds me from buying Neuron is that everyone is saying it's geometry is outdated. Will be Spectral as good as Neuron for climbs? I love going downhill but u know, u have to climb first :)

Looking for good "do it all" bike. Long day trips in the mountains (850-1200m elevation) and fun days on trails, there are many crazy steep trails in my area. I still consider myself beginner, but want to up my game. Atm I have HT with 100mm RS Recon and 70 HA so it's gonna be a huge upgrade with both bikes. Spectral 125 is not an option, cuz it's out of stock.

Spectral AL6 vs Neuron AL7

I do own a Canyon Neuron CF 7. Because it is direct to consumer you will generally end up with better components than a retail brand at the same price point. Warranty related issues will generally take a longer time to resolve, but that being said, it is unlikely to be in a situation that requires warranty issues anyway.

I'm looking at the Canyon Spectral 29 CF 7 as it's one of very few bikes that are in my price range, available, and with what appear to be really solid components. I've only ever bought retail, so I'm just curious if I should be aware or any downsides to direct to consumer.
