I currently ride a Canyon Strive, and it's also a great in all terrain. The new Canyon Spectral also seems like a good option with similar travel/ geo to both the stumpy evo and slash.

I share your pain (6'7"), came off a 29er XXL Stumpy as well and ended up replacing it with a Canyon Strive in XL that came up in Canyons outlet store, have managed to make it fit pretty well after a few adjustments (bigger rise bars, longer cranks, rise in stem, bigger dropper). Megatower was definitely on my list (but too expensive for me personally) as was the Nukeproof Mega (was the version prior to the current one when I was looking), also look at some of Transitions bikes (namely Sentinel and the new Spire). The newer Stumpjumper Evos in the S6 size are pretty large and should be considered also. Don't listen to people that say that reach is everything, once you get to our height/leg length you also need to consider stack so that you don't end up in a terrible bent over riding position, you will also want a decent length seat tube so that your dropper actually meets minimum insertion (my Strive has a 500mm ST and my 210mm dropper still has about 60mm of dropper out of the frame, some "XL" bikes come with STs as short as 450mm these days and look for models with longer or size specific/adjustable chain stays (the main complaint I have about my Strive).

I can really recommend the canyon strive. I have one from 2016 with 160 on both sides but the new ones have 150 at the back and 170 up front if im right. The strive is a bike that i used on pretty gnarly black trails and i did drops on it that are quite a bit higher than i am and the bike just eats it.
