Optics seems fine, but the case is too small and barely closes, making it slow and uncomfortable to put binoculars in case, no room for attached neck strap. Lens caps fall off when putting in case and when in use. They not only fall off the lenses, but completely off the barrel of the binoculars. I bought these binoculars for field use and if they can't be properly - quickly and easily - protected they would not last long, making any savings on well priced optics false economy

If you wanted to make your own case and rig some lens caps, that would be a way to deal with it, but the quality of case and lens caps makes me wonder abut quality and durability of binoculars.

 Nice and clean design. But- They are kind of on the heavy side. But I could live with it because they feel so great in your hands. BUT the focus knob has play in it! I returned and ordered again and same problem

These binoculars have excellent optical quality, however they are very heavy. There was also play in the focus knob, which other reviews online seem to indicate is a product-wide issue, not an isolated occurrence.  The heaviness was such a turn-off I didn't bother exchanging to see if I could get one without focus knob issues.  I bought a bunch of others in the general price range to compare, and the Nikon Prostaff 7S was the winner

The review is for Carson 12x50 roof prism binoculars. I think Carson has come up with another winner here. I like the fact that these binoculars are lightweight (easy to hand hold steady). The images they produce are sharp and reasonably bright

 The binoculars do not fit the carrying case that comes with them. You can hardly squeeze them in and then you can’t secure the Velcro on the cover. If you have the neck strap attached, forget it. The binoculars won’t even fit in the case
