Cerave acne foaming cleanser with 4% BPO! I feel it did control my acne breakouts in some way. I use it once a day only. Melano CC premium essence - first vit c serum that I'll be repurchasing for sure.

[Discussion] What are some of the skincare products that has seriously made a huge difference to your skin?

I’ve used this product for two days now and I already see a significant reduction in my acne and cyst on my face. However this product does not lather up like what is advertised, not even a little bit! For me a good lather reassures me that my skin is getting the best cleansing from any product and I get no reassurance from this product. To keep my skin from drying out due to the Benzoyl Peroxide I use shea butter mixed with Cera Ve Am/Pm moisturizer. This has done the trick for me in the past with facial cleaners that like to dry my skin out

The Cerave cream to foam is good as it has salicylic acid in it which helps shed dead skin. I’d ditch the clearasil pads I stupidly used them about 6 years ago which probably contributed to me having to go on accutane, they’re not good at all! Spf everyday Cerave has, cetaphil her skins fair so white cast doesn’t seem too much of an issue. Also avoid use of body wash on the face it’s too harsh.

Specifically I use the Cerave Acne Foaming Cleanser while in the shower - lather it up under my armpits and let it sit for 30 seconds to a minute before rinsing. This is great especially for anyone who wants to use “natural” deodorant because it really helps manage odor.

Mine would be The Tia'm Vita B3 Serum($14) which is from a K-beauty brand. It contains 10% Niacinamide and 2% Alpha Arbutin and is a alternative for people who don't like The Ordinary 10% Niacinamide 1% Zinc serum's sticky feeling....

 It does admittedly have less BP, but the ingredients are otherwise nearly identical (with the absence of some minor ingredients that likely have very little effect in a cleanser that will only sit on your face for a few moments), and costs less than half as much for a bottle nearly twice as big. Having used both, the only distinguishing factor I have noticed is that the AcneFree version has a slightly more noticeable smell, but it's very neutral and certainly not unpleasant. For me, the AcneFree equivalent is a much better buy!

 However, the same thing can be said of AcneFree's 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cleanser. I find that this cleanser works quite well for me: I have had atopic dermatitis and acne on various areas of my face for many years, and this cleanser effectively treats the acne without aggravating my sensitive skin. Bonus points for being extremely hydrating. However, the same thing can be said of AcneFree's 2.5% benzoyl peroxide cleanser

Take 4-5k iu vitamin D supplements daily. Stop using the cerave foaming cleanser. It's harsh for eczema (any anyone honestly just don't).

I recently got back from a week long vacation to Mexico and returned home to -20C weather for the last week or so. I'm hoping that someone can help point out things I could do in the cold climate I live in to mimic the effects that a warm one had on me. 

On my trip my skin had improved so much in a number of ways: eczema calmed down and stopped hurting, acne decreased and no new significant breakouts, redness decreased, natural moisture that felt better than any moisturizer, and my skin looked overall very healthy especially on my face. All of these benefits despite drinking heavily (with lots of sugary drinks and beer), sweating and wearing the same shirt around all day, no skin care routine except showering and sunscreen, and eating fast food type foods. Coming back home my skin almost immediately got worse in all of the areas mentioned before: acne, eczema, dry/tight skin, and my face is getting textured again despite getting back on salicylic acid. 

I am hoping to tweak my skin care routine to improve the general health of my skin again, and I'm not sure what it is about Mexico that my skin loves so much. Any insights would be helpful. Thanks!

After work: Wash face and then apply Cerave big tub moisturizer to like 80% of my body (normally every other day or so)

Night: Cerave foaming facial cleanser, Oxy pads 2% salicylic acid wipes, the ordinary 10% niacinamide on face only.

Occasionally: Sunscreen when I am outside for longer than 20 minutes or so, once-twice a week I use 4% benzoyl peroxide on face/chest/back/shoulders and let it sit for about 5 minutes before showering off with foaming cleanser then applying moisturizer everywhere.

[Skin Concerns] How to mimic the effects of a warm vacation's effect on skin?
